Great game, Bob was terrific, just wish he could have gotten one more stop on Oshie. If the USA beats him, so be it, but I would have preferred to have someone else get the winner. I thought all our guys on the Russian team played well, especially Tyuts, the game winner should have been his.

It didn't look intentional. That happens 3-4 times every NHL game. The goal should have counted (it's a rule issue) but to say that Quick intentionally moved it off is a stretch.

I didn't say if it was intentional or not. No one could, except you. But since no one was around the net that should have been a penalty. Now goalies can move the net like that moving from post to post all the time.

The rule is the rule and they can't change it now in the middle of the tournament. It would have been a goal in the NHL but not in the IIHF competition. It came off several seconds before the shot so its not like Quick knew the goal was coming so he knocked it off on purpose in advance.

You're assuming Voynov means that Quick intentionally dislodges the net. Quick frequently goes wildly side to side and often uses the post to keep him from leaving the crease, as most tenders do, on occasion. Just seems that it's more often done by Quick, because that's his style.

I notice the goal pegs are not what they use in the NHL. Perhaps they are more touchy.

Still, it sucked, and putting the same skaters out for the SO is a bush league rule.

Just a few thoughts from today's game...
**There is nothing better than watching skilled hockey players
**Even better when they have the freedom to play the game
**I love the larger size of the international rink
**Datsyuk is just an incredible player who is a joy to watch for any true hockey fan
**I do not like the international rule that allows repeat shooters in the shootout
**Happy for the USA win while happy that Bob and Toots played so well
