Heard of that place. I watched a lot of travel food shows when I actually had TV. I don't watch a lot of TV but my dad and I watched like every new episode of Anthony Bourdain's No Reservations.

I am lactose intolerant and lactaid kinda sorta helps, but that place was WELL worth it. Definitely hitting it up again when I head back to Philly again this coming season.

I'm just a foodie. I want to travel the world to eat its food. Food is one of those things that describes local cultures so well. And I've never had a REAL Philly cheesesteak. Excited for my first.

doing about 30 minutes of prospect and stat reading around where the kings might draft in the first round, and the kid that stands out to me on paper and a bit on the youtube highlights is

ROLAND MCKEOWN

http://lastwordonsports.com/2014/04/19/2014-nhl-draft-profile-18-roland-mckeown/

right handed 2-way puck moving D with a good shot. 6ft1. 186.

I have zero knowledge about this draft class but just wanted to throw another name out there.

He has been well discussed here and I agree, he would be a great selection for us if available. There are a few more solid D that could be available should we decide to go that way. Another thing about McKeown is that he is a very high character kid.

Captain of Canada's U18 team this year. My #3 D in this year's draft. I'd be happy with him at 29, but I doubt he lasts that long.

Man I really want Connor Bleackley. Looks like a perfect fit for the organization. Plays center and wing. Just hope he falls to us since I see him being selected just right before our pick.

I am likewise a foodie and this is beautifully put.

I know better than to put stock into them but mocks have him anywhere from like 15-45. Seems like that's the case with a lot of prospects outside the top 5-8...tiers are pretty big this year it seems? Or maybe that's just for some of the more volatile prospects (not that mcKeown really is but he's the guy IIRC that doesn't have a 'standout' quality giving him an identity?).

I saw some write up about him that there is concern about something about him...just did a search and I cannot find it. He is captain as well. Who knows. In Dean and Futa and Yanetti we trust!

I think Bleackley is going to be gone before the Kings can get to him. Just my gut feeling. A lot of people like his skillset. Part of the reason why I rolled Quenneville. In our HF staff mock draft he was taken I think 2-3 picks before ours. If he is still available I think that's a solid pick.

Ya he's got leadership along with his game which is always a plus.

I think anyway you look at it Connor will pave a nhl career top 6 or bottom 6 looks like a guranteed nhl'er. If he does fall to us I just hope we pick him up. Quenville is another good player to pick up too. Can't go wrong with either player in my book.

Last time I was in L.A. it was still there but there is a place called "the great western hoagie cheestake" something or other on Lincoln in the Venice/Palms area. I had them when I was a kid and they were as good as any of the celebrated places I have eaten at in Philly. I think that they still hold their own but the difference is in the bread.

You can't get the right dough out west or so it is said. Something to do with the alkalinity of the water is what I have heard. So if you are in Los Angeles (or palms/venice on Lincoln) stop by and try the great hoagie or great western hoagie or something like that. No nonsense just a really good hoagie/cheestake depending on your mood.

I too will actually be at the draft yet again this year as will a couple of other posters from HF. I hope to have a chance to meet you in person cns. That would be great to meet you in person and talk about hockey and stuff.

Hope we can make it happen. I will be there most of the week leading up to the draft and then out right after Saturday.

Was going over the draft and the players and Rolan McKeown also caught my eye.

-Right Handed Shot
-Good Size
-43 Points and a team high of +38
-Two time Gold Medal Winner
-Final Ranking at 27

No kidding haha. Not sure how much he'll be allowed to release (actual list of just tiers grouped or what) but having DC at 11 he already said I am dying for this.

EDIT: Also nki has an unreal deep list up on prospects board. I disagree with some of it obviously, but it's incredibly well researched and well done.

Thanks! Enjoyed reading yours too! The more I think about it the more I'd be ok with Pastrnak or McKeown if they do go that way (obviously if they're available at our pick, that's another question entirely). Solid kids that are committed to playing the right way and would be "keep the machine rolling" type of pick for the Kings.

Hey guys. I just finished a 2 round mock draft as the LA Kings. I wasn't sure what your team needs were but I wanted to see what you guys thought about my picks.
1(26)* - Dylan Larkin
2(60) - Warren Foegele

*The first round selections were drawn up before the end of the conference finals which is why i picked 26th.
I see Dylan Larkin as an LAK type of player and definitely see him as a safe pick to play somewhere in the lineup down the road. That's why I reached a bit with the second pick but Foegele could be a steal if you give him time to develop which I believe you guys can.

I think most here would be very happy with Larkin, doubt he lasts to our pick in real life though.
