Liking NCAA DMen Gavin Bayreuther (St Lawrence) and Scott Savage (Boston College). Bayreuther is a puck mover who is capable of being a top pp QB. I see him going late 2nd to mid 4th. Savage is actually a SoCal native. Raw player, good potential. 5th - 7th round.

Bayreuther is my #1 re-entry player for this upcoming draft at #49 overall on my rankings. Smart smooth player. He is an older player in his 3rd year eligible, but take into consideration that at the same age in his freshman year as well Justin Schultz put up just 22 points in 40 games compared to Bayreuther's 36 in 38 games. Wouldn't be upset at all snagging Bayreuther with a late 2nd by the Kings.

I can see the Kings picking either Lemieux (LW) or Dougherty (D) in the 1st round, whichever is available, and if both are, I'd go with Lemieux (a former Jr Kings player), so they know him well,

it would be great to see them find another Tanner Pearson with a late late late 1st round pick, as the Kings draft staff and player development program certainly deserves a shout out for Tanner,

Your best one yet. Keep up the great work my friend. You know how I feel about Pastrnak. If he goes top 10, I wouldn't bat an eye. But that's a good spot for him.

I have been busy so it has taken me time to go through each part of your draft rankings with as critical of an eye as I can do. I also took the time to read a few other draft articles and predictions by colleagues and a few posters here so that I could make as comprehensive of a comparison as possible.

After doing so while we are different in a few players (as expected) I think you have done an excellent job and are more right on the money then anyone else that I took the time to read. Very great job and a difficult one to do during this draft as so many of the kids this time around are all over the place with where there games are and should be projected to end up.

Great job and thanks for doing it.

Oh, Magyar in the first round, suddenly I feel less lonely. :naughty:

Thanks, I really like his game. Smart pro style game. Actually could see him as Kings type player for sure.

Wow. Really appreciate that. Amazing coming from you.

Top 10 should be out soon. Hope you have the time to read it as well. I agree that this draft is completely all over the place. Since I have started regularly watching prospects and making my projections (2012 draft) this one is waaay harder to do. So many players all over the place. I think draft day is going to be great with many many fallers and risers. It'll be fun.

I have heard that two of the top ten teams are likely to go "off the board" for their picks. Should be a really interesting day. I am going to try and post all of the combine and pre interview stuff this weekend. Go out with a bang.

Well even if your not really "in the business" anymore I hope you keep posting about Kings and prospects. :yo:

Mock Draft from Aaron Vickers (Freelance Digital Media correspondent for the Calgary Flames/NHL.com and managing editor of Future Considerations).

29th LA KINGS: "Conner Bleackley, C, Red Deer (WHL) Big leadership capabilities follow a diverse set of skills that are on display on all 200 feet of ice".

What do you guys think about Milano? Dude had one of the biggest wingspans at the combine despite being 5'11

Have flip flopped a lot with him, whether he's gonna be one of those guys that disappears in tight checking games or does he have that gear like Justin Williams does who isn't big either. Super skilled kid though.

I am very high on Milano. I would be very happy if he's picked by the Kings. He's on my list of hopefuls.

My mock:

29. Los Angeles Kings - Josh Ho-Sang - Windsor Spitfires - RW

The Kings add more potential top-line skill to their pool in Ho-Sang. Everyone you talk to says this kid might have the best mitts in the draft and LA isn't about to let that value go to waste in 2014. Scouts are very mixed about his attitude and think he could be a hit or miss type of guy. A player like that is a good fit for the Kings, given he can step in to a good situation with less pressure as a depth player early in his career.

If not Ho-Sang: Jakub Vrana

Disappointed is an understatement of how I'd feel if the Kings got Ho-Sang, at least with their first

Any mobile, right handed dmen slotted to go in the late 1st/early 2nd? Some great dmen have slipped out of the 1st round and into the 2nd in the past, would be great if the Kings nabbed one of those towards the end of the 1st round.

Really?

He has top 5 pure talent. That's massive value if it happens.

I agree he has a high degree of talent. Please understand just because I would be disappointed if the Kings got him doesn't mean he wouldn't be a good value in that area.

Ho-Sang just doesn't seem to fit the Kings system, is weak on the boards, and is one dimensional. He doesn't play bigger than his size, and he just has a small frame in general.

I just have many other players who are possible or likely to fall to 28/29 who I think would be better pick-ups. I think Ho-Sang would be a better fit in an organization like New York, Chicago, or Anaheim, who depend a lot more on speed.

Julius Honka is a smaller defenseman, but he's extremely talented, mobile, and plays bigger than he is. He's definitely one of the players on my list of "I would be happy if the Kings can nab" players.

Honka's my #2 defenseman in this draft. I'd be quite happy with him at #29.
