I am beyond thrilled with this pick, people think that he was drafted just because he's big but he is a highly skilled player who adds a lot of what we don't have on this team. I am so happy that management took him.

Would have loved for these trades to have gone down and had a chance at ekblad but I am okay with draisaitl. At some friggin point this team needed to get size. Unless bennet grows a ton he'll be what the oilers have now. A skilled guy that gets run over against the big teams.

God, this isn't Parise/Jacques. Both these guys are top ranked prospects, Draisaitl's going to be a great player, so will Bennett.

Draisaitl can skate well enough, that was blown way out of proportion, just like Bennett not being able to do a pull-up was.

I just had a peek at a highlight video of the newest Oiler...even if he's not going to break any speed skating records, one thing stood out to me immediately: this kid protects the puck and cannot be moved off it. This is an area that has been sorely lacking on this team.

Dallas sure gave him the ol' "handshake-pull 'em in tight" conversation.
