These are the NFL's dream matchups, hopefully they make for good games.
The hate is gonna be real if the pats win. I was so tempted to pick them because I think Manning may choke as he's known to do but…

NFL Playoff Predictions
Seahawks beat 49ers
Broncos beat Patriots

I was perfect last weekend in the guessing game though those were much more predictable games.

Manning has choked against Brady and hood just too many times for me to pick him to win.

Kind of the ultimate legacy game for Peyton. If he loses this one, history remembers Brady as the better QB, no question. If he wins, it gives him some strong credibility in that debate.

screw the NHL.
today is all about football!!

for those in my age group and older, you'll agree you have to like the seahawks. even just a little.
growing up, they were the only games they'd show on TV in Edmonton.
Zorn, Largent.
KXLY TV channel 4, Spokane. (that station identification is still in my head)

Well, I wasn't expecting that. Peyton may have finally shed the all-time choker label. A 3rd Super Bowl appearance for Omaha's favorite son is probably just enough that he'll be remembered as an all time great who often came up short but still had his moments, as opposed to being the guy who couldn't win the big one. This was probably the biggest win of his career to be honest, at least as far as his legacy is concerned.

And just to remind everyone, the Patriots remain at 0 Super Bowls since losing the use of their Spy Cam. Lousy coaching by Pigpen today, not sure why anybody still considers him the greatest of all time. Blount runs roughshod over Indy, but gets shelved this week. Brilliant strategy.

Everyone knew the Patriots had a weak defence. Losing Aqib Talib, the best member of their secondary, killed them.

Can't blame Belichick for this one. Denver had the 7th best run defence in the league, Indy the 26th.

The Patriots were only in today's game because of Belichick's coaching. Losing Hernandez, Gronk and Wilfork yet still finishing second in the conference was a heck of a job.

Ya Denver won. Importable and they should have they had the better offense and defense
Patriots need some offensive play makers for Brady and as was mentioned above losing their best dman didn't help at all

Fantastic game going on in Seattle

Hoodie never even tried to run. A great coach doesn't let the opposing defense dictate terms. Way too many short yardage situations where New England chose to air it out. Denver never respected the run, and teed off on Brady. Two horrendous sacks that were game changers as a result. Phillip Rivers and his 8-8 Chargers gave Denver more of a scare than New England, that's ridiculous.

On defense, well...nobody could cover anyone. Can't blame that on the Hood, other than the fact that he chose a bunch of bums to play in his secondary in training camp.

We get it you hate the Patriots. Pretty much everything you said was wrong.

The Patriots have been playing on borrowed time all year. They have suffered so many injuries that you can only hold on for so long. Wilfork, Gronkowski, Mayo, Spikes, Vollomer. That's would be a tall order to get to a super bowl without those guys.

A good defense exposed thei weaknesses of the Pats all year. Bengals, Panthers, Jets & Dolphins were the teams that beat the Pats. All with above average to excellent defenses.

The Patriots stopped running the ball because Manning had two 7+ minute drives and the offense needed to move the ball more quickly if they had any chance of staying in the game.

In the end the Patriots got beat by the only team that was better than them.

But instead of recognizing the great game the Broncos played and the difficulties of the Patriots you just had use such a negative immature tone. Its laughable. :shakehead

Agree with most of your post. Don't think the Pats are better than the Seahawks, but all good on the rest of it.

I honestly think this was Belichick's best season as a Head Coach in his career. Finishing 12-4 with all the injuries was a heck of a job.

So glad RW is going to the super bowl. Sherman is a boss too. I think Manning will pick apart the Hawks though.

I Don't understand the...............???

I don't understand why the 49'ers did not call a timeout before that last interception.

Why hurray and throw that last pass? They had 3 timeouts left with about 35 seconds remaining.........why not talk it over?

It looks like they caused their own demise.

Thank you Seattle Seahawks from the bottom of my hearts for giving me a team to cheer for! Something my NHL team failed to do this year.

And looks like Pete Carroll and John Schneider know a little bit about winning, if there was ever a concern. Tim Ruskell dismantled the 2005 Seahawks team and we were a joke in 2008 and 2009 and it took Carroll/Schneider 4 years to turn this team back into a Super Bowl contender.

I'm so proud to be a Seahawks fan. This team is the best team in the NFL. Seahawks finally have the opportunity to right a wrong that was commited by Bill Levy and the refs in Super Bowl XL.

Let's do this!

It was an undeserved and completely irrelevant label hyped up by sensationalist garbage network panelists anyway.

The Broncos are gelling at the right time. They've been absolutely spectacular in this post-season and have only given up most of their points late in the 4th quarters in garbage time.

So much for that horrible defense. ^ As for the best team in the NFL, no, that would be the Denver Broncos ;)

Well, was hoping Manning wouldn't have to face Seattle as I think they will beat them. I hope Manning can get another ring though.

Well actually I was cheering for the Patriots since I hate Denver even more, but anyway.

I'm pretty sure Denver's defense was banged up by injuries as well.

All I said was New England completely abandoning the run very early was stupid. It's always stupid, any time any team does it. Running wins games, plain and simple. Why did Denver win today? They ran the ball effectively to chew up clock and keep the Patriot defense on the field. It of course helped that New England couldn't cover worth a damn in passing situations, either. Their defense played poorly in all respects.

It is nice to see John Fox get another shot at a Super Bowl, on a level playing field this time. Unless Pete Carroll has a Spycam we're unaware of.

It was well deserved. The drop off between his regular season results and playoff results was glaring. I don't think that can be denied.

By getting to a 3rd Super Bowl, and doing it with a second franchise and beating his nemesis Brady in the process, Manning has pretty much put the choker label to bed. Will he be remembered as a clutch QB? I doubt it, but he's probably into that "neutral" category now that most QBs occupy, including Brady.

San Fran beat themselves. They had the game under smooth control IN SEATTLE until the giveaways. Had the game not been in Seattle i don't think there would have been any giveaways to begin with, and the early lead for the Niners would have been much greater. They're the better team on paper but that doesn't always show when you play in a place like that which dumps popcorn on the opposing teams injured players. Peyton is getting a limo ride to the trophy, it will perhaps be the most lop-sided superbowl in history in my opinion. Niners vs Broncos would be something to be excited for.

I didn't understand their time management on that last drive. it was like andy reid was coaching.
it felt like they "knew" they were going to score the touchdown so wanted to just run the clock out asap, to give the hawks no time.

I am glad they lost the game.
