as a fan of neither team...that was a brutal game

Superbore

but I'm glad we got to see sad Peyton face

Super Bowl's, most years the particular games themselves tend to be lackluster. There's no real flow, lots of commercial breaks, and more often then not the players under perform it seems (just my opinion). The only game I can think of in recent years that had be entertained for most of the game, was when the Giants won with Eli a few years ago

I think Seattle will keep all their core players for next year no problem it's the following year when Sherman and others contracts are up.

The Seahawks will be ok for a while. Due to the new CBA Wilson is on his rookie contract until the end of 2016.

Lowest paid starter in the league. He will get his money though.

Glad the S***hawks won. I'm a Cardinals fan but that division was insane this year. Best division in football this season, IMO. NFC was miles better than AFC all season long. Might get flamed for this, but I love Richard Sherman too. Kinda reminded me of the Revis Island this season, he shut so many top-notch receivers down it's sick.

****IN EH SEAHAWKS:handclap: !!!! At least I can cheer for one winning team this year, wheuuuu! hahaha

This.

That superblowout will be enough to get me through at least one more season of Oilers ineptitude. Feels good to have a successful team in any sport.

Now if only Bubba Watson didn't choke yesterday, then I'd be a truly happy man.

I disagree, the Broncos were brutal today no doubt, but the fact is Manning and the Broncos had an unbelievable regular season essentially rewrote the offensive record book
The Broncos were not overrated it's hard to explain what happened exactly today but hey the Seahawks played a terrific game

Regular season is for also rans and Sedins in any sport. Whether it be NFL playoffs, NHL playoffs, SC, World Cup, the greatest players in the game are defined when they win the trophy. With every other result left standing.

Nobody will ever be left thinking Marcel Dionne is one of the greatest hockey players to ever play the game even though statistically, in regular season he was. But when people consider greats he's not even in the conversation.

I don't have to know much about NFL football to know that if you don't get it done in the championship matches you won't endure.

Its just the way it is.

The field dimensions of the NFL game select for D over offense. Particularly given the speed and strength of todays defenders.
Its become even moreso a defenders game as more and more of the greatest teams and players are regarded for their D stars and what got them there.
We've travelled a longway from Joe Namath, Dan Marino, Joe Montana. The stars are aligned on the d side of the ball now imo.

That said offenses need to get more done. Denver offense had a net contribution to the game of something like -7. I don't know there was one instance in the game where they made a play to the Seahawks backfield to make them back off and respect any deep ability. They simply failed abjectly to do that. So a vaunted Seahawks D was able to swarm the house all day and be in the Broncs backfield all day making plays. How many Bronco running plays resulted in losses?

Seahawks were resetting the line of scrimmage on nearly every play. Broncos had to do something to get them to try to back off and never did.

You had to say that. Now we are going to get post after post of why the CFL is better than the NFL.

Ricky Ray all over again:cry:

I think I know who you're talking about
But honestly, the CFL is a joke. Especially this year as the divisions are one sided and there is a flag thrown every 2 plays. It looks like a bunch of amateurs playing, especially in the East. Heck, the last 3 games I have turned the channel off because it was literally unwatchable

Don't ask me why, but my interest has gone up quite a bit for the CFL in general this year. After watching as much as I have so far, I really don't know why I watch anything other than the Eskimos.

haha, no, I got that. I was just ribbing an obvious rib.

I actually fear developing too much interest in the NFL for the time it would involve. I'm sports addicted but still married as it is..

See that's the problem. You either have to be single or have a significant other that realizes you are not to be interrupted on Sundays. I'm sure wives across North America were thrilled when they learned there was going to be Thursday night football.

So it appears at this point Pegula is the guy that should be getting the Bills, which is good for the City of Buffalo.

My question is if the Toronto bid would've gotten it, was the NFL going to allow the team to move full time to Toronto anyway? All I've heard is that they were going to buy them and move them to Toronto, but what did the league have to say about this?

I think the league would not mind having a team in Toronto but it is down the list of desired sites. I also think Toronto is going about it the wrong way, the need to prove they will support a CFL team properly first. Their very soft support of the Argos no matter what the reason indicates that if things start to go poorly they will stay home.

I'd have to look, but didn't their NFL numbers drop as well? I seem to remember a lot of cheap tickets the last time around.

I don't fully agree with this. I know so many people who would support an NFL team but could care less about ever getting behind a CFL team. Id argue that Canada has a larger following of the NFL than the CFL as a whole. Fantasy football is huge, it has brought such a large audience to the NFL. I could care less about NFL until I started playing fantasy football, I would make a strong case that its more entertaining than hockey.
