I am not the smartest person when it comes to Roman numerals but is this really thread 22?

Holy smoke if it is!!! I blame Kunitz.

This will be the last time Kunitz will be a first line Left Winger for Canada in an international event. Looking forward to seeing Giroux, Stamkos, Neal, Hall, and others in the next best on best tournament. Canada should have beaten the US at least 3-0, but Kunitz missed great chances in close that a bonafide winger next to Crosby would have scored. He did play well against the US. There is one more game left (the biggest of the tournament) and Kunitz could shut up his critics like me, if he can score a couple of goals tomorrow.

You realized Crosby missed chances set up by Kunitz as well, right?

Will Crosby be off the team next time too?

I agree that Kunitz won't be back, and I agree he shouldn't have been selected. But it's getting kind of annoying that people cannot just get the **** over it, especially when a) Team Canada is undefeated going into a gold medal game for the first time since the NHL started going and b) he's actually been playing pretty well lately.

Does Kunitz get 2018 consideration?

If NHL players go? The last goal Canada scored. Proved all his doubters wrong. Proved that he actually deserved to be there.

Illpucks.. you have been ragging on him all the time since selection. Are you trying to cause drama.

if nhlers don't go, I hope he goes. at least he won't be dragging Crosby down in Pittsburgh then

You were right all along, hitmen. You told me to have more confidence and you were right.

You know it's a good tournament when Tuomo Ruutu was the best player to score against you.

There remains no more excuses now to bash Hockey Canada:

Can't win outside of North America. Check.
Can't win on "true" big ice (because those 3ft less in SLC 2002 mattered). Check.
Can't go undefeated. Check, and how about not even trailing in any game.

Pure dominance this tournament where the team played like the roster of superstars they are.

So we agree that benching Subban was indeed the optimal decision? 3 goals allowed in 6 games, results don't lie.

No it just didnt matter. Hamhuis barely touched the ice. Subban is capable of playing defense just as well as pretty much all the canadian dmen, not far off them at least. The 6 dman that did play were amazing so you cant argue with the decision

Great 4 days of hockey. How could things have been any better? :)
