No way Price is top 5. Borderline top 10 maybe.
It's easy to name 5 guys who are better, and not just this season : Quick, Miller, Lundqvist, Luongo, Raask, and I didn't even mention last year's Vezina winner, Varlamov, Harding and Bishop. Also Tim Thomas.

Luongo, Miller, and Thomas aren't better than Price.

As someone who has despised the Habs all my life, I would be perfectly content with Price backing Team Canada. The Habs defense is horrible most nights but he keeps them in games and makes a handful of game savers every night. The majority of his GA I've seen this season he's been hung out to dry pretty bad. I would have a lot of confidence in him playing behind our defense.

St-Louis not being on this team is an aberation.. Not only he has the skills to be on this team but the intensity, the leadership he brings to the table is priceless, that little man is a real warrior and has so much passion for this game.. If team Canada fails to win the gold, that omission will be talked about for a long time..

I am legitimately sad that MSL will not be on the team. That was a straight up snub.

Nash with 8 goals in last 12 games. Not too bad.

And 7 goals in the last 8 games, even more impressive. He's playing very well right now. Is he better than St. Louis? No? Maybe he shouldn't have been selected, but he's finally not the bum that he's been for a large part of the season. In fact he's been amazing lately. I'll still be rooting against him as Canada is the team I root against the playoffs all the time.

Happy for Sid :handclap:

At the same time there are so many leaders in that room I'm sure it doesn't really matter who has those letters on those jerseys

For sure. It's just symbolic. Most of the team wears a letter for their NHL team.

Thought Keith would get it over Weber, but Weber is a great choice. He's going to be a monster.

Really happy for Crosby being named the captain. As an immigrant, first hockey game I watched was that gold medal game in 2010. Made me an instant hockey fan.

Had also expected Weber and Toews to be alternates.

Lets Go Canada.

how's jeff carter doing these days

Carter has 11 goals in his last 17 games, and other than a cold stretch where he was dealing with an injury he has been over a 40g pace. This is despite being on a defence first team in a strong division. He's been much better than Nash, and that's without even considering his superior defence.

Although I believe Price this season is firmly in the top 5, borderline top 10 is a bit of a stretch.

Is it true that Marleau made the team over St.Louis ? I read something about it that the TSN made a point about it. And also Kunitz over Couture, and Carter over Giroux.
