You know, I just realized something. This is going to be the second year in a row we face Michael Rozival in the WCF. What are the odds Brown checks him again and his other leg explodes this time?

We'll need a doctor on call...

They wanted to speak to him at the draft years ago. I can't remember if they did.. but, we all knew at that time, he wasn't going to sign with the Kings. Just wishful thinking if anything.

Ya that is mostly what it was. I remember thinking we would definitely get him, and if not than we would get gaborik the next year, if we missed him we would ofr sure get Kovy.
Worked out so F it.

Yes were are banged up but so are the Hawks, Bolland missed the first round and Hossa, Sharp always seem to be nursing injuries. After a few games against us their D will be banged up too. Keith and Seabrook now have target bulleyes on their backs, after these 2 that D is mediocre to say the least. Am I really worried about Kane, Toews, Hossa, Saad, Frolik using their bodies to inflict pain...no. Their speed is what concerns me. I think this series could turn dirty if they can't react to the physical play.

Penner has been turning over in the neutral zone because his shoulder has limited movement imo.

Carter has an upper body but I'm not sure as to what or the extent. But I think he'd be fine before game one because it isn't bad.

we really went the tough way up the mountain. Chicago is going to be unforgiving on missed goals. we can't rely on 2 goal games anymore. frankly, i have no idea how we got to conference finals doing so. Richards line is fantastic. Kopitar's line is a bust. That has to end Saturday. we're oging to need everything but the kitchen sink to pull this off.

i like that we're nearly twice as physical as Chicago. You can see it with the Sharks, they start turning away when they get the puck. anytime a team starts twisting or hesitating about going into the corners, you just bought yourself half a second to win that battle. That can be one of the difference makers for us.

Any of you guys making a trip to United Center?

most likely to rich for my blood. i went earlier during the regular season and tix started at $125 for the 300's. the ticket brokers here in Chicago drive up prices like crazy and have everything purchased that isn't a STH. my guess is they will start around $300-350 per seat in the 300s

Yeah lol just thinking that, if we thought the reffing was bad with SJ, with the Hawks we are going to be even more "unlucky"

Does anyone else thing J Quick's puck handling has gotten better since his goof in St. Louis? He seems more confident.

I don't. He had a major giveaway the other night. People sitting around me always get nervous when he puck-handles. We all say the same thing:

"Always an adventure."

So, Frolik scored 3 goals this season, and all of them were against us. Let's not let that little weasel face score any in this series.

First, I feel good that the Kings simply made it this far. I wanted at least two rounds out of them. Now I can actually start enjoying the ride a bit. Chicago is going to be a battle nothing like St. Louis or San Jose. Chicago traditionally plays well against the Kings. I don't remember the last time we outright dominated them. They're going to be like the Sharks in that regard. Clearly the road is not in the Kings favor this year and I don't expect that to suddenly change either. 1-1 or 0-2, as long as the Kings defend home ice, I think they can steal one in Chicago and get it done. If the Kings lose at home, I doubt they succeed.

$200 for section 309 2nd to last row, which is directly behind the goal the Kings shoot at twice, that is the cheapest I can find for Game 1.

That is one nicer benefit to watching your team play on the road, we sat in the end in St. Louis where the Kings shot twice, the opposite section where the Blues shot twice were 30-40% more expensive.

We're only the second reigning champs in the trapezoid era (I prefer calling it that since we've had two lockouts in less than a decade) to make it to the Conference Finals. The first one was the 2009 Red Wings.

Officials for the conference finals:

Mark Joanette, Eric Furlatt, Wes McCauley (reffed Kings/Sharks game 7 and did a good job - also the ref Quick blasted that earned him a misconduct), Dan O'Halloran, Dan O'Rourke, Chris Rooney, Stephen Walkom (Mr. Chicago matching minors) and Brad Watson

Tom Kowal, Chris Lee, Brad Meier and Kevin Pollock failed to make the cut for the final two rounds.

SRO is going for $125

I gotta say... I know we complain about about lack of media coverage here in LA but KLAC 570 is just KILLING it lately with coverage. I listen all day at work and Jay Mohr talks more hockey than Jim Rome ever did, Petros doesn't care but Matt Money Smith is a walking hockey encyclopedia, even the Cannons (now prime time) are talking a lot of hockey lately. I've heard one interview after another, Darren Pang, Roenick, Jim Fox, etc. It's been pretty cool I just wanted to give them props.

Yup, I've been meaning to post this actually. I usually listen to the news in the morning and switch over at noon. Even last year they gave us credit. The best thing about Money is he's a TRUE professional. I don't expect everyone to be a genius, but at least thoroughly research the topic at hand and he does that.

Well, dodgers and angles suck. Clippers and lakers first round losers. Kings in back-to-back conference finals. Kings are playing well at the perfect time to generate fans and media coverage.

sports radio used to be the only ones and credible ones at that in the LA market that could talk puck. the only TV was the late great Stu Nahan. i remember Rome seemed to be the only one that would talk about it on a constant basis. Hacksaw would occasionally, but dude didn't know **** about the game and was a blowhard.

good it hear it has matured further. it's a sign that the area as a whole is becoming more hockey oriented. that is what kills me about the claims and statements that SoCal isnt a hockey market. there is nothing further from the truth

Was McCauley also the one that called the embellishment? Any idea who the series supervisor is?
