You guys have not seen JayBo yet. Thats all I am saying. Depth is in the blues favor, not by much. JayBo changes the game IMO. Blues are 11-3 since bringing him in. Him and leopold are huge depth upgrades over Russel and Cole. Cracknall has put in a couple of points lately and Reaves even had a two goal game Thursday. Sure these guys probably wont score in the playoffs, but this pair beats Fraser and Nolan. Both offensive and defensive. Sure those are only 2 players, but I think the overall depth in terms of ability to have 3rd and 4th lines score favors the blues. The kings have much better scoring threats, just not on the 3rd and 4th lines. Defensive scoring should be about even with a slight blues favor. Voynov Muzzin Doughty vs Shatty, JayBO Petro.

I also think your schedule has played into it. Because only 5 of those 14 were against playoff teams. I'm not counting the last game against the AHL Hawks. If you do that would be 6. And 4 games were against teams trying to stay alive but missed.
Not going to discount the run you had but you must admit that does help. Our schedule wasn't much harder with 6 games and we fared much worse over that time. Five of our games were against teams that at the time were trying to stay alive.

This should be a very even series on paper. But right now because of what the Kings have done over the past two year until the Blues get them out of their heads it's the Kings to lose. Once that happens, if it does, this should be a very interesting series to watch.

I agree that the Kings have had the upper hand on the blues over the past few years. Thats an obvious one. I just think that the blues deserve a bit more credit. There are a lot of factors that go into that; Elliot is hot, JayBo and Leopold are here (upgrades over the previous Russell and Cole,) we have home ice advantage, Kings are stuggling on the road.

What's the excuse going to be if the Kings lose?

Kings are favored and if Greene is ready to go they are healthy. It'll be a big disappointment if they're bounced in round 1.

Depends on how they play. I have no problem saying that they lost to the better team if both teams play to their ability, seeing as how they are extremely comparable. Also have no problem saying they **** the bed if they lose. No excuses.

Exactly. If we're outplayed and lose, then that's why we lost. Not some BS excuse like we heard all last year. Quote me on that if it happens.

I love threads like this where everyone is cool but there's jist a slight hint of cattyness. The PGT's will be fun in this series. Hopefully a little more fun for us.

Didn't the Blues have home ice advantage last year?

Anybody know when Game 1 will be?

schedule isn't released yet.

team is already in STL, which is good news. now it is time to get down to business. no excuses, just results

LA in 6. i dont see them sweeping them, the Blues are an improved team. there will still be bad blood and some mental meltdowns on both sides that will influence the outcome

You guys have not seen JayBo yet. Thats all I am saying.

And you haven't seen Regehr and Greene yet.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to this series. If the Kings win the series, of course I will be happy. If the Kings lose, then at least they lost to a quality team and the Blues fans can be happy.

Defeat is a lot more tolerable when it's at the hand of good winners. The Ducks and Canucks would have been sore winners. Sharks would have been okay, too.

But with all that said, I do think the Kings match up best against the Blues. That's not calling them easy. Just that the style of play will (hopefully) bring out the best of the Kings.

CBC picked up the series. That's notable.
CNBC for games 1 and 2, NBCSN for games 3 and 4 outside the LA TV market area.

LA area ONLY will get Bob and Jim on FSN for all games.
