Carolina, NYI, Florida, should all have been considered to skip the opening night before Buffalo. This is a much better hockey market where Saturday night games are gold.
Mini pack owners will be given the schedule 12 hours before the general public... We have been told to be on standby....
I no longer live in WNY, but would love to take my son to his first BUF home game (he's seen 1 at RBC in Raleigh).
I will be in WNY the weekend of Feb 8th.
If the Sabres will still hold a Sunday 10-Feb matinee (5pm start or earlier), it would be perfect for us to go.
I know those matinee games are very popular, and will use the normal Sabres general public & Stubhub channels to seek tickets, but if any mini-pack or STH can get a pair of 300 level seats for that game, I'd pay face value (i.e., above your discount), and buy you a beer before / during the game.
I also consider better seats, but may not be able to afford face for those, depending on seat.
Thanks.
I accidentally ordered 2 pairs of seats for the scheduled Ottawa game as part of my mini pack. If there's still a game that day I'll hook you up at my cost in section 322 on the aisle. This of course assumes I'll still have those tickets as part of my minipack.
(See PM)
If this pans out, I am submitting this scenario as proof there is a God.

the season is going to start in 9 freaking days and they haven't released the schedule yet?
Well now that there will be a season, I'm very glad to be on board for Buffalo hockey this year Let's do it Sabres
But...your username..
Yes yes, I recently moved and ugh I don't wanna tell the story again
I used to stay in the Buffalo area all the time when I was little and was able to access the Sabre games, merch etc. So I like the Sabres too and have no problem cheering them on
Just act like a Kitchener fan
The final two games are:Andrew Peters @76_AndrewPeters
My first 4 games were completely accurate. 1/20 PHI, 1/21 at TO, 1/24 at CAR, 1/25 CAR I do not have any times for the games.

Source tells me Sabres will end season with 4/25 vs BOS and 4/26 vs NYI. That's about all I know. Then the real season begins! #16WINS

They technically don't have a schedule until the players sign off on the deal, which won't be until the vote closes Saturday.
I'm sorry but that is a ridiculous excuse, why have they announced anything so far?
BUFFALO, N.Y. (January 10, 2013) --- The Buffalo Sabres today announced plans for the sale of individual game tickets and mini-pack tickets for the upcoming 2012-13 season. Procedures for the different ticket options are below and will reflect the official 2012-13 regular-season schedule, which will be released by the NHL in the coming days.
Individual game tickets for the 2012-13 regular season will go on sale Tuesday, Jan. 15, beginning at 10 a.m.
New mini-pack tickets will go on sale Monday, Jan. 14, beginning at 10 a.m. Those wishing to purchase a new mini-pack can select games at Sabres.com at that time.
Current mini-pack holders and Blue & Gold Club members will be contacted via email on Friday, Jan. 11, with instructions on when they will be able to login and select their games. The schedule will be sent once it is released by the NHL.
Presale individual game tickets will be available to Sabres Insider members and those that qualify through mobile app and social media use on Monday, Jan. 14, beginning at noon and ending that night at 11:59 p.m.
Season-ticket holders can expect to begin receiving their game tickets via mail. Tickets for the first three home games have already been shipped.
All ticket options can be purchased online at Sabres.com and Tickets.com, via telephone at 1-888-223-6000, and in-person at the box office at First Niagara Center.
The box office will be offering extended hours during the team’s training camp next week. From Monday, Jan. 14 through Friday, Jan. 18, the box office will be open from 9 a.m. through 7 p.m. On Saturday, Jan. 19, the box office will be open from 9 a.m. through 5 p.m.
That's not an excuse, that's the reality of things.
The lockout technically is not over until both sides ratify the agreement. Until that happens nobody is going to release concrete information. A draft schedule is clearly done since info is being leaked, but that won't be confirmed until the players pass it.
The player vote might, for whatever reason, stretch into next week, which would delay camp, and therefore the start of the season.
You're going to get basically a full 7 days notice before the first game is played. If that's not enough for you, tough.
Absurd. The NHL could obviously and easily release a schedule that is contingent on player ratification. The "player vote delay" argument is obviously nonsense since NHL teams have already announced the date and time that they are going to start selling tickets. They're simply unprepared, mainly because the league is a Mickey Mouse organization.
