I called them missing the playoffs. It looked like I was gonna be right too. Now they've fought back. If there's any team that has heart it's them. Winnipeg has no business winning that division either. They'd be less deserving than last years Panthers who everyone thought were really undeserving.

**** the islanders. Just wait. If they get good you're going to wish they kept on moving further west.

I bow down to you! The only reason most Devils fans respect them is because they've been uncompetitive for so long. Or they're originally Islanders fans who converted to Devils fans.

They'd still be in the 'Eastern' division for the next five years with the glacial pace the NHL moves in realigning

We've got enough problems as it is next year for me to worry about the Isles either way. Pittsburgh, the Rangers, Philly assuming they're able to find a real defenseman to throw their money at, now Washington, Carolina (assuming Ward stays healthy) and Columbus too. That's why this year makes me want to beat my head through a wall, it was probably our last real chance for some time.

So when you're 75% of the way through the playoffs it isn't premature to chant that you want to win the cup, but when your 83% of the way through the regular season and your team is in playoff position it's premature to chant that you want your team to make the playoffs. Got it.

Because percentages are always the way to do things:
It's okay to chant "We want the Cup" when you have a 100% chance of playing for the Cup.
It's premature to chant "We want playoffs" when you have less than a 100% chance of making the playoffs.

I have a personal friend who has worked for the Sharks for years. I would love to see his name end up on the Cup. A few WCF appearances coming up short. They just got shutout by the BJ's tonight in a not so great game for them.

This team just isn't that good. I never am in favor of tanking (Not even before we pulled it together in 10-11) but I think it would benefit us better to finish in 12th than 9th or 10th. That way we might be able to draft a pretty good first round talent, and not the next TedenBUST. Why do I not trust Lou and Conte to draft a forward though in the first round this year?

They pretty much have to at this point. Most of their picks this year were forwards and it still isn't enough. If the BPA happens to be a d-man then pick that guy and trade one of our current d-man prospects for a young forward.

Yup, and no more Tedenbust in our lineup either. I hope the day comes this Summer where they announce he's going back overseas. I don't trust Lou not to try to give him a fourth go around, and for the second Summer in a row talk about how he's having a ''Very work ethic Summer and will be given every opportunity to make the team again''.

Stamkos scores so Lightning up 3-2 now with under 5 minutes to go in the 3rd. Bad goal by Anderson. It would be pretty devastating if they got Anderson back only for him to not be as good as the other two they had playing in his absence.

Yea I don't know, part of me thinks we can get our crap together when Kovy comes back and sneak in, the other part of me thinks when Kovy comes back we'll win a few games late but still end up short finishing 9th because we dug ourselves too deep of a hole. The ladder scenario would be pretty bad. Would be like a kick in the balls

Yup that would suck. I thought the 2nd goal the other night against Buffalo was a tease as was the softy Reimer allowed to Clarkson the game before right after the backbreaking second Leafs goal.

At least they don't have Ben beauty rest anymore. We might be able to beat them this time.
