Most teams would kill to have made the conference final and be where the Pens ended up. Although I see your point..they pretty much sold everything to make the finals and win the cup - draft picks, prospects...etc. And what do they have to show for it? Nothing.

This Penguin collapse is not a surprise to anyone who watches hockey. Bylsma is totally overrated and their defensemen after Letang are a total non factor. Now they have no cap space, no picks and tons of players to sign.

Their defense didn't play that bad though. Martin was generally good. Engelland played some sound games, mostly against Lucic. Most of the fault lies with their forwards in this particular series.

It's not surprising that the #1 see in the East, who won 8 of their first 11 playoff games, and have without question 2 of the top 10 players in the game were just swept out in the conf finals?
I dunno, I watch a little hockey, and I'm pretty surprised.

I'm not really surprised the Pens lost, I'm more surprised they got swept the way they did and with who they have. Crosby, Malkin, Letang, Neal, Kunitz, Iginla, Morrow did nothing.

Just to get the last laugh Bylsma should have pulled Vokoun for MAF in the 3rd period. He must have had an idea he was gonna be canned, and he couldn't have thought they were gonna come back right?
Put in MAF in the 3rd, and Mario is flipping out in the box upstairs and they're showing it on the air. Mario gets up to go downstairs to publicly humiliate Danny for this, but by the time he gets downstairs to the bench it's already 5-0!
