Who would've thought Vanek would have a season like that. 19 points in 8 games. It's crazy because he has only been over PPG once in his career.

The Penguins announcers are the worst in the league. Simon Despres just took a harmless shot that Nabby shouldn't have let in, and they orgasmed over the play for about 5 minutes. Holy crap, it was a "beautiful play, I love how he stepped up into the play, look how fast that got off his stick, etc. etc.". It was sickening, holy crap.

For all the **** we are giving the Sharks pp..the Bruins pp is absolutely dreadful. 2 minutes without an attempt on net.

I've watched almost every Bruins game since moving here and yes their PP is terrible. When its clicking and they keep things simple its ok, but this year they are just making it too complicated on themselves for a team as talented as they are. This is the main reason Seguin is slumping, he's getting to the net but the team isn't cycling or making passes on the PP. They aren't getting shots through and there's a lack of movement. They need to simplify things.

Probs cuz Todd's system is "Thornton you stand at the boards, Boyle you chill at the point and yeah someone try to open and we'll see what happens!".

Except hes said the opposite and said its way too stagnant and predictable. They haven't practiced in 15 days. I expect them to be rested and refreshed.

McLellan has a ton of faults as a coach, but the power play isn't one of them. It's stagnant right now because some players don't want to move. Whether it's sickness, rust, or something else entirely, it'll likely be better after the short break we have this week.

The main issue I have against McLellan is his insistence on dressing or icing the "veteran" player over the players who deserve the spot, i.e. Handzus over any other forward, Murray over Demers, and Clowe getting PP time and extended shifts when he's playing poorly. We saw this last year with White and the year before with Wallin. It's just idiotic and counterproductive. I'd much rather scratch a player and have him evaluate his game from the press box. Send him a message that his poor play is intolerable and that everyone on the team is accountable regardless of his seniority. Instead TMac waits for a struggling player to "play out of the slump" while another skater, who is probably dying to play, gets to sit and watch for no controllable reason.
