Ive always wanted Hemsky, id be a terrible GM. Id somehow convince myself that he wouldnt get as injured in Ottawa.
Hemsky is a huge talent, such a great player to watch.

Oilers fan coming in peace. Hemsky's main injury problem has always been his shoulder, which he had surgery on 2 years ago. Since his last surgery he has not had a single problem with it. This past year he suffered a freak injury blocking a shot which broke his foot. He actually played about 10 more games with the broken foot before being shut down again, for those who believe he is soft.

Some might be concerned his body is just built to be injured all the time, and some might argue his injury problems were behind him before the freak injury last season.

Personally I think he would be an outstanding fit in Ottawa beside Spezza and Michalek. I would really love to see him go to the Sens.

He's my favourite Olympique ever. Don't know Murray would risk it.

Milo needs to be on the right wing.

I'm giving up Zach Smith and a pick for Ales Hemsky.

Hemsky might be injury prone (not even the same injury) but he would instantly be our most skilled winger, not counting Alfie. In my opinion, in terms of skill, he might be in that Pat Kane stratosphere.
When healthy, he's a fast, dangling, sniping winger. He is great for our system because he excels at puck handling. He would help our puck possession.

We came up with this on the trade board,

Smith + JOB for Hemsky + Conditional 2015 2nd*

*Becomes a 2015 3rd if Hemsky plays 83 or more games for the Sens by the end of the 14/15 season

I like it, I would do this deal.

Smith is a great 3rd line C and probably one of the best 4th line Cs in the league. His loss would be felt.

I've always wanted to see him on Spezza's wing just to see how many passes they could string together before one of them decided it would be a good idea to shoot.

Agreed, people on here just don't understand bottom 6 talent & their importance & potential with experience. If they ever put Smith on LW in the top 6 he has the potential to be another Andrew Ladd. I remember saying that Ladd should be in the top 6 yrs ago when Ladd was in Chicago & people here called him a bottom six scrub. Now he is the captain in Winnipeg & is a legitimate top 6 powerforward. Smith just needs a little more time to mature, physically fill out & get more experience & he'll be set.
