Can't go into the season with the same group. Not enough depth.

Also, no love for Lindberg or Fast in Larry's article?

Cally and Hagelin might be put on IR to pinch some pennies if they miss 2-3 weeks.

They're gonna make a move, they just have to.

Well as people have been saying, Miller will likely be back to start the season, and the hope is Kreider is worthy of a larger role. But yeah, I agree that we could use another guy...but keeping Brad around really makes that more difficult.

No assets to readily trade and no cap space - the deck is stacked against them. Are there buyers out there for Boyle, Pyatt, and Asham?

If they can just get an additional 2-3 million of cap space they can sign some useful players.

Mason Raymond would be great for this lineup because he's fast and can be moved up and down the lineup. He's probably cost about 3.1 million.

If Cally and Hagelin miss time, they gotta give some kids a shot. A lineup with Powe/Pyatt/Asham all in at the same time is pretty bad.

I like Raymond but hoping more for $2-2.5 mill for 2 years. Doubtful he takes that but that would be my limit.

Interesting tidbit from Larry's article today:

Truth is that Sullivan, who only reinforces Tortorella’s us-against-the-world mentality, had alienated more Rangers by the end than the head coach.

I got attacked on here when I said Sullivan needed to go....

#NYR Happy NHL draft day! Without a pick in the first two rounds and little cap room to maneuver, expect a (rare) quiet day for Rangers.

With her recent track record I wouldn't be surprised now if the whole team got traded

Thats a cheap shot at Torts. Kreider played over 10 minute per game last season and was a ghost for most of it.

Clark has lost his luster over the past couple of years. Why can't we find those bottom 6 players we need so desperately though the draft?

Needed a good laugh this morning and this post did it for me. Thanks!

I agree with BRB, I've been questioning Clark's scouting lately. Not a fan of his last 4 first round picks, emphasizes too much on physical tools more than hockey IQ. Skjei, Miller, McIlrath, Kreider. That being said, he does seem to do better in latter rounds lately.

I've been told that the Penguins and Kristopher Letang are close to a deal. Small details to resolved and contract will be official. #RDS

Good for Pits.

Almost more depressed today than when we were eliminated... No moves to be made, no cap space, no picks...

New coach and thats about it. (Most likely). I fully realize the off-season ha barely begun and training camp is still months away... I just don't know what can be done.

Of course you do. Nobody is surprised. Theres nobody more predictable on this board.

Guys, I was told by people on this board that Carolina in NO WAY was trading that pick. Gotta go with their expertise on that one.....

Not sure whats so funny about what he said. I like Kreider more than he does but he's right, he looked lost and ineffective.

And the fact that this team couldn't find a fourth line from players they drafted an had to look to the likes of Haley, Mashinter, Newbury, Powe, Halpern and Fereirro (sp) is a huge flaw in Clark's drafting record.
