Okay Scuderi and Moore. What else. Other than listing our needs, I don't see a realistic plan there.
And we'd have to offer Scuderi alot more than he got from Pittsburgh since they are a contender and we're not.
Again is sounds like more "Waah, we small. Waah we bad. Waah other teams are overspending and we're not. Waaah."
What do you mean, what else?
With Scuderi and Moore we've addressed two of the biggest issues of the team. Trying to get a physical top 6er is hard, you show patience with that.. but you can't go into free agency and having watched our team and think "hmm, Parros and Briere.. well done!"
Are you aware how bad our PK is?
Do you know the PK rates of the teams in the cup final this year?
You don't think it's reasonable to assume that it is a bad idea to not address the lack of PKing success over trying to add an overpaid, midget, scorer, who offers no skillset that is not already prevalent on the team?
Toronto missed the play-offs for how many years? They signed McClement and what happened? Their PK sky rocketed from bottom to tops, they made the play-offs and were some play-off experience away from going to round 2.
Penalty killing and face-off play are two "small" things that make a monumental difference in a hockey game. Most fairweather fans don't see this because they are so enamored with "scoring" that they don't realize the fundamentals that take place between goals that are required to, not concede goals, and to gain possession of the puck to score goals.
