This is an excellent pick.

He was projected to go round 1 at one point. Had some injuries and a suspension. I believe his numbers will rebound next season.

He is like a much faster Jeff Carter. Great shot and stickhandling, can pass as well. I think he can turn into a very good 2nd line forward in the 50-60 point range. His speed will help us a lot as well.

You wait all day and the Rangers don't disappoint and give you some more **** to smear on your face...3 more soft players...but wait...they can skate...all is well.

You'd have thought getting man handled by Boston and the passive way we play throuhhout the line up would hsve had us going with the more physical guys.

Numbers took a plunge in his draft year in an offensive league, so yeah I would say so.

How much were his numbers impacted by Grigorenko? Don't know if they play on the same line.

He looks like he's got the physical attributes to play in the NHL from his highlights.

We need some asskickers who can also play. Can't remember the roster EVER as soft as it is now.

The very personable Anthony Duclair told me he is most often compared with Evander Kane...said speed is key to his game

Maybe they are looking at our inability to score for the last 9 years.

and I get that.

and I hope that one of these guys pans out.

But we still have not addressed the lack of compete that this team has.

Fast and somewhat talented, but still soft as baby crap.

I hope ONE proves me wrong.

You would have to think they know this, hence the Clowe acquisition. I'm with you here but picking as late as they were today, it's really unlikely that your gonna get an ass kicker that can play. Better to go for some high end talent that might pan out.

I hate hearing that a prospect was once seen as a first rounder. It means that he slipped once he had the light shined on him.

People who were seen as first rounders who slipped (e.g., McColgan, Grachev) are much, much less likely to succeed than guys who came out of nowhere to be drafted in a "too high" position with everyone screaming Who?! Why?! (e.g., Stepan, Chara).

true they get hyped the day of the draft cause people know the names but often you find out later there was a reason they dropped...unless of course the guy was simply hurt during his draft year

Duclair is a rocket ship. I don't think there's a better skater in this entire draft, and that's saying something considering the amount of quality skaters in every round.
