He's fitting in nicely in my opinion. Had his first 2 points last night. I'm a lot happier seeing him on the ice then some of the other schmucks that have come and gone this season.

Henrique and Clarkson better step up their game. Henrique looks hesitiant this year and he is just missing something. He isnt generating anything in the offensive zone and he has been extremely fortunate with opportunistic goal scoring. As for Clarkson, he has been absolutely pitiful this last month. Everyone knows he has zero hockey sense but at least in the first part of the season he was getting good zone pressure, puck possession and generating a ton of shots. Now he looks dreadful and is hurting Zajac and Elias. When Zubrus comes back I would like to see Clarkson go on the third line where he belongs.

Elias Zajac Bernier
Zubrus Loktionov D'agostini
Ponikarovsky Henrique Clarkson
Carter Gionta/Josefson Kostopoulos

Bernier with Elias worked well a few weeks ago, I would like to see that again. Bernier is like a poor mans Zubrus along the boards.

Bernier with Elias and Zajac had some very nice games, I would like to see that line again.

I am fed up with Clarkson. Just looking at their schedule right now I think they need to at least get 16 points in their last 14 games. 7-5-2 or 8-6-0 should get them a playoff spot. The question is though can they come up with those points.

Clarkson is know facing the opposing teams top line since we dont have Kovalchuk. Teams are focusing on the Elias line so now Clarkson is facing tougher minutes. He is much better suited for the 3rd line.

Just have to keep on getting the points, if they are going to lose, or play sloppy like last night they better at least get that 1 pt.

I didn't like D'Agostini's penalty in OT, but that wasn't what sunk us. Overall, he played well last night.

Clarkson can't hack it against other teams top lines. He is what he is. A third liner. He's a guy who gets his production off weaker lines and is able to get to the net against smaller defensemen who he can try and overpower.

Hopefully Lou has his senses this offseason and pays him as a third liner.

Yep

Been fine for the most part. Don't particularly like him on the 2nd line but what can you do right now?

And I actually confused the 16 with the 15, Steve moment :( , and was wondering why he was sucking so hard on some shifts. So that explains a little bit.

He looked much better. Sometimes you have to give new guys a couple games to get acclimated to the new system and linemates/teammates.

I want to see whether he can get his scoring touch back. If he can't, I'm not sure he's worth qualifying this offseason and we might be better off looking elsewhere in free agency.

I had a bigger issue with normal routine plays not being done by Dago. Dump the puck in, skate to the red line, passing to someone, etc.

Ya, I have to agree there. Two goals against have been directly caused by D'Agostini not dumping the puck in deep when changing.

TGfireandice: DeBoer said he is considering lineup changes, but won't decide until this afternoon.

Larsson said he is playing tonight. Tallinder said he was told to "be ready". Volchenkov and Harrold are still on ice skating extra.

THANK YOU BASED DEBOER

Since i was away my only game seeing Dags was last night. He looked good. But lets keep in mind he has been with the team for 3 games. I am guessing he still doesnt fully know the system. Once he learns it more he will be a nice addition to this team.

We are all just spoiled by Lokti i believe.

I actually think this team is finally capable of rolling four lines.

I know some people hate Kostopolous and Sestito, but they give us a reliable 8-10 minutes that you can't count on from a guy like Barch or Janssen. They work hard, keep moving, and play well in their own end. Granted, it's not as deep as we can be when we are healthy, but we still have four nice lines.

I honestly thought D'Agostini's penalty in overtime was ********.

He wasn't holding the guy. It was the way Stamkos leaned into him that made him take that body position. Stamkos lost the puck because D'Agostini's body was closing off the inside. Just because the loose hand is around the body of a player, doesn't make it holding.

The thing about D'Agostini is you have to limit your expectations. He's a good all-around player with some speed and a good shot. That's really all you have to anticipate. He will contribute points here and there, and he will give you an honest game.

He will be good for this team in a second or third line role.

I don't know if it is just me, but he takes the shortest shifts I have ever seen.

D'Agostini had to take the penalty in OT anyway, I don't see why people are getting on him for that. Stamkos was behind him and nobody else was around. He took the penalty without giving up the penalty shot.

I don't really think that was a penalty though regardless.

I don't see where the hold comes in at all.
