I can't complain about Volchenkov much. In my opinion he hasn't been that bad this season. He hasn't been anywhere near as bad as #7.
Maybe Volch's worst game this year was worse than Tallinder's best. Tallinders worst has made Volchenkov look like an undisputed number 1!

The irony being #7 should be the #7 but isn't, and is about 7/24 when measured against #24.
Something smells here, and I don't mean #7's underwear when he sees #8 spin him like a turnstyle.

He must've had a video though, because on his NHL.com prospect bio there's a video link, but it doesn't work. I'm guessing after a couple years following a player being drafted they deactivate the videos unless it's a first round pick or something.

How about giving the endless spitting on Tallinder a rest for like, more than two posts or something?
The guy had an injury last season that might have finished his career. If it was a concussion everybody would be ooh-aah but it wasn't an injury that is as much a la mode as head injuries. At his age, he might be finished because of it, and that's pretty sad. All this hate and making him a scapegoat is getting repetitive and just a lazy excuse for a defense corps that is mediocre, including the captain.

The guy is a liability. I hope you weren't one of the many people who criticized Kurtis Foster. You do know he broke his femur being slammed into the boards trying to negate an icing right? I'm sure that had something to do with why he was so slow, and got undressed all the time too. Yet people still were banging their head against the wall over him.

Tallinder isn't as bad as he is being represented here, but last night was an atrocious game for him.
Reality is we have too many d men and he makes the most sense to move. Even moving him for picks would be addition by subtraction, since it would bring Fayne back in.
Regardless of what happens, Fayne needs to be in this lineup. It's crazy to think there was an option to remove him.

Last year someone posted a thread calling for the benching of the greatest player in the history of this franchise. I've seen people piss all over Marty everytime he lets in a goal. People call out Kovy all the time. God forbid I blow a little steam off about a player who's the biggest LIABILITY on the ice right now.

Read the pages of last night's GDT around the time Tallinder was getting undressed. Everybody was complaining about. BG even posted a picture of a mule saying he was getting beaten like a rented mule.
People were complaining this morning as well. I was definitely complaining the most. I have aspergers syndrome, and tend to get a little fixated on things and compulsive. Then again even I haven't *****ed about him in hours. In fact I actually forgot all about the guy until a few minutes ago!

Has anybody been worse than Tallinder? Volchenkov everybody's favorite punching bag has not been as bad as Tallinder. Salvador did he have a great game? Hell no, he was burned by Ovy and crew his fair share. Did Andy Greene also look like a spectator on that first goal last night? Absolutely.
Tallinder against the Isles, and Caps has been the worst games by a defensemen this season on our team.

Man, if this kid works out in the NHL we're gonna have one nasty power play. I think if he gets taken under kovy's wing and is taught the way of the sniper he's gonna be another steal for the devils.

Well people don't have to worry about others harping on Tallinder now that Fayne's FINALLY back in the lineup today. Although it wouldn't have shocked me if someone else got scratched to get Fayne in with the way we've been cavalier about playing around with our D.
