When I say BPA, I mean BPA on the kings draft board.
Cause the Kings staff is going to pick their guy, in the later rounds.
The First round is the only area I think BPA should apply. That picking your guy hasn't worked for Lombardi in the First round.
Maybe save Doughty/Pearson.
But Doughty was not some stretch, he was a legit top two player.
I would love for the Kings to draft Keegan Kanzig; dude is a monster and mean as hell.
Specific players I'm thinking the Kings target:
Zach Nastasiuk. Given Futa's connections to Owen Sound, he HAS to be on their radar. He's a tough forward.
Hudson Fasching. Big potential power forward, already 6'2, but oozes character. He has spent his life taking care of his two siblings with genetic conditions that leave them nearly blind, unable to walk, and unable to talk. He's also committed to Minnesota, and the WCHA is the NCAA division most of Lombardi's collegiate prospects play. His rights are owned by Kelowna.

On an interesting note: As long ss Lombardi's been a GM here, he has drafted at least one participant of the CHL top prospect's game EVERY year.
We should be content if we got a 1st for Bernier. DL asking for 1st and a prospect is just posturing imo. But then again, it really depends on how much and how well he plays in the playoffs. Assuming, we make it to the PO of course.
He plays the game and would be a third pairing guy. I kinda of want to say Dylan mcllrath but not as good defensively.
He would be ideal for the role that he plays. I can't see the guy getting out muscled or even losing a fight. I'm sure will here some pre-draft hype.
I hope that the BPA is:
- a right shooting, big, physical winger
- a right shooting, physical stay-at-home d-man
- a big shut-down center
We have several big, left-shooting d-mans (Forbort, Gravel, Roach, Deslauriers, MacDermid) and wingers (Mersch, Schumacher, Kitsyn, Lowry) in our system , but right side is pretty empty. RD-prospects Colin Miller and Nick Ebert are average sized and Paul LaDue is a really longshot. We don't have any physical RW-prospects, which really bothers me.
I hope too, that we trade AND draft a big defensiveminded center. Colin Fraser is a great heart'n'soul player, but we need to replace him sooner than later.
Hägg.
So, Colten Teubert-like?
LaDue is going to be a big surprise IMO. I think he'll be in the kings system within two years. Great diamond in the rough potential.
I agree, Hagg
