Doubt this guy would have been gone at 50. If you are going goalie trade to the top of the second and take the consensus top goalie.

I doubt he would've been gone at 77. That's the real point. But is what it is. Obviously they see something in this kid they like. They're stocking up on goalies because the reality is 50% of the goalies you draft will never see the AHL, let alone the NHL. Need enough stuff to throw at the wall so you can be sure something sticks.

I like the Jarry pick. If he can perform as a starter like he did as a backup, we could have a steal.

Murray, Maguire, Hartzell and now Jarry.

I wouldn't say any are bad out of that group, especially the 3 drafted ones.

Jarry will be the #1 tender for the Oil Kings with Broissoit going pro.

Next year will tell us the only knock people have on him...can he be a #1.

Thing is, if you have 4 solid young goaltenders in Juniors and one in the AHL, you better start looking at improving your goaltending staff, yes having Meloche leave is good, but you want to bolster that area of your staff to make sure you are better there.

Let's see how they go about this.

Think the Blue Jackets wanted Jarry with that pick? Maybe they didn't plan on us taking him.
