That's the one big thing that would be necessary to play with, Sid. The rest would come from that.

I was thinking the same. Although I am not sure about trading for him. Because I think it will be a big price tag. And I don't want to pay a ransom for a 36 year old.

I'd love to grab Hudler off Calgary. He is sick and would be ridiculous with Crosby.

He is still young and signed for three or four years at 4m.

Those two would work the puck like beasts.

I don't buy that. Guerin did just fine with Sid and his wheels were already wobbling when he got here for the Cup run. Obviously, wheels are a plus but I think brains can make up for a lack of wheels.

Burgundy: glad you approve of my methods. ;)

I don't think you can get into a Calgary Flames game if you are not wearing a Calgary Flames jersey.

It is an amazing sight to see that crowd all dressed in that uni.

I've noticed that before many times. They are serious about the colors and bringin' the noise.

I do like Hudler as well. Although that window probably closed. Time to get him would have been in the most recent free agency period. Calgary snatched him up. We were looking at bigger fish at the time though with Parise and Suter.

I was going to watch the Devils-Islanders game...but then I saw what the Islanders are wearing and switched to the Panthers-Sabres game.

I don't know how it's possible for that jersey to look even worse in action than it does on paper. Whoever designed that should have their hands chopped off.

The Sens just got screwed. Price comes out and bumps Silfverberg and the Sens score...goal waived off and Silfverberg gets penalized.

Price not only initiated contact, he skated out to initiate contact.

Game should be tied 2-2, instead it's still 2-1 and the Habs have a power play.

Ya I thought of that as well, but you can always dream.

Absolutely. It was a good mention because he has got speed, some decent skill and you know he is going to defensively responsible after years in Detroit. I think he would work great with Sid.

I just am upset we came away empty during the last free agency. If we can get Sid a winger, and not use up valuable futures, be it picks or current prospect, it is a win-win. I will hate it if we bankrupt a chunk of the future to get that winger. But I guess it depends who it is and the cost. As I would give up A LOT to get Corey Perry. Now that is me dreaming, haha. If we could get him as a UFA.........I will start working on the Shero statue.

I'm rooting for the Ducks to suck so bad this year, they have no chouice but to trade Ryan or Perry to us.

So far not looking like you'll get your wish, but yah. The "savior wingarz" are both on that team IMO. Unless we really pony up to get one of EDM's or STL's best wings. Plus taking one of Dewsh Boudreau's best players away from him would be a delightful trip to happy land.

I am not familiar with the Anaheim situation. Is it just simple economics that they cannot afford their star players? What's the deal with these guys being unsigned?
