Is the Reed move because he's no good, or is it because of the "outplayed and outcoached" comment? If it's because of the latter, that's ****ing ridiculous.

And Jon, I don't know, but I sure hope it's that guy...

Ed Reed has been my favorite football player for awhile now. I'd love to give him a shot. :)

So I'm planning on putting a waiver claim on both Ben Tate and Andre Brown in my fantasy league.

Which one should I give priority 1 to, and which should I give priority 2 to?

Brown 1, Tate 2. Tate is playing with a few cracked ribs, and you never know with that whether he'll have to miss time.

I'm going for the sweep against my buddy this week, and refuse to let him win because we have been trash talking each other all year. I have been flip flopping my receivers every 10 mins. Willing to have some input from you guys on it.

Reed cleared waivers. Ryan publicly said he wants him on the team.

Rumors are Jets, Pats, Giants, Cowboys, and Saints.

I think the Jets make the most sense for him. He probably has more of a chance to start there than he does most other teams. Safety is probably the Jets only "weakness" (if you could even call it that) on defense.

Ed Reed is done.

Ive been a fan of him forever, but his game always involved him doing things that he should not be able to do. When the athletic ability declined, his game fell off a cliff.

The giants have two safety's (perhaps 3) on the healthy roster right now I would take over Reed. And they have a 4th on IR.

I think he has one more season after this where he could be serviceable. Texans D scheme doesn't fit his game. He was dominant for Baltimore last year. You don't just lose that all. Had to be, at least in part, systematic.

Rex's system should help him thrive. Will Idzik bite? We shall see.

Winslow and Santonio back help us moving forward too. Hope Kerley can come back for a playoff run later too.

He was far FAR from dominant for Baltimore last year.

And the Texans system fit him perfectly. They run a ton of C1/C3. Which is where Reed has always played.

He looked pretty good to me during the playoffs last year. Wasn't he hurt for a lot of the season?

Hes been banged up a lot lately, but still has started every game his past two seasons with the ravens.

He played ok in the playoffs, had a decent game against the texans, then got banged up again, didnt do much the rest of the way. Though he did get a gift overthrow INt in the superbowl.

But he was in drastic decline the past two seasons. Its not surprising he has fallen even further.

Once an nfl player starts to decline, they usually dont stick around much longer

I'd go with Johnson (must start), White, and Dobson if you're going with a WR in the flex spot. But I'd consider starting Rice or Thomas in the flex over Dobson if I were you I like the more consistent production of RB's.

Which is ironic considering my fantasy question: Should I start Lacy or Vincent Jackson as my flex?

Lacy seems to have a slightly tougher time with Rodgers out, and Jackson has an amazing matchup vs the Falcons whom he torched for 25.80 points last time. Jackson has been maddeningly inconsistent though so even if he is ranked higher, I'm still leery. Especially considering RB vs WR.

So, Lacy or Jackson as my flex? (I'm starting Charles and Morris on RB, Marshall and Garcon on WR)

@nyjets: We bolstered our secondary THURS, agreeing to terms with Ed Reed a day after the veteran S cleared waivers.

Official.

WTH it can't hurt. Hopefully he can return to his former self. If he can't than it's not like we gave anything up for him. I'm excited about this actually.

I don't think he's going to return to his former self--he's just too old and beaten up. But as a package/sub player, he could be extremely helpful. Our safeties are average to bad in coverage, and he should help address that in passing situations.

Nice, hope he does well with the Jets.

Fantasy Q: Drop McGahee for Kendall Wright or Golden Tate?

Just picked Harvin up (been adding and dropping him a number of times lately since he's almost back), too, again.

Also, drop Brady? He's finally off of the can't cut list. Although he looks good with Gronk and the other WRs finally starting to get it.

Tate over Wright (Fitzpatrick in at QB) even with Harvin back. Harvin is a good pick up.

Don't think you could drop Brady. I would actually buy low on him if I didn't have him. He's got all his weapons back now including Vereen this week. Your other QB or waiver wire options must be pretty good if you're thinking about it.
