I was rooting for dallas. Romo had agreat game but had to throw at pick at the absolute worst time. Also i ahve to get on the defense who were just destroyed. its ironic the only time they stopped The Broncos is when tehy should have let them score this way they would ahve had a 1:40 remainign to try and tie it

Sigh. I'm going to need a repeat of last week from Antonio Gates to pull out a win this week. They're facing the Raiders, but still...

I will never understand why Romo gets as much crap as he does. He is EASILY a top 10 QB, and is more than capable of leading a team to a Super Bowl. It is 0% his fault that the Cowboys gave up 51 points.

Can't wait to listen to how he lost the game for the Cowboys despite throwing 500 yards and 5 TDs. Absurd how under appreciated he is.

He gets the crap he does because he goes DERP in the 4th like that. He's the opposite of Eli. Awesome superman through three quarters and disappears at the end of the game.

Oh, please. No one was hating on the Jets like they did once Ryan came aboard. Almost every Giants fan I knew either rooted for the Jets or just didn't care about them since they are in the AFC. We have three massive rivals in the Eagles, Cowboys, and Skins. Why would we care about the Jets unless they are acting like pompous, loudmouthed idiots as they did when Rex wasn't yet humbled?

well maybe its just the group of giants fans that ive come into contact with over the years. they've always treated us terribly no matter the circumstance and ive never gotten it.

and the way you described the jets is the same way i feel about the giants. i dont care about the giants winning/losing, most of the time i root for em. we play a meaningful game (if the jets are even doing anything that year), once every 4 years. we're not even rivals

If Tony Romo was on the Giants he would be considered an elite QB the way Eli Manning is. In my opinion neither one is an elite QB. The only reason he gets this much crap is because he's on the Cowboys.

Eli gets all this praise but is someone missing the fact that he once threw 25 INTs in one season? And now he has 12 this year. Please.

But you're right. He is the opposite of Eli. When Eli wins he gets all of the praise and when he loses he gets none of the blame. When Romo loses he gets all of the blame and when he wins he gets none of the praise.

pretty sure eli is getting a good dose of the blame right now

Except Eli Manning wins Super Bowls while Tony Romo turns into a pile of sand. One is a winner, the other is a choker.

Yup, Eli Manning won those Super Bowls all by himself. He lined up at MLB and DE and shut down one of the best offenses in NFL history in SB 42. Not Strahan or Osi or Antonio Pierce. It was all Eli.

Do people realize there is a 2nd aspect to football called DEFENSE?

Cam Newton is just killing me in fantasy, just flat out killing me man.

And **** I thought Fitzgerald would have a better year with Palmer throwing to him. Guess ****ing not.

Oh I am, too. I'll take the high road, though, and commiserate with them. We of all fans can relate!

This has always been my view as a Giants fan. Obviously when we do play them every once in awhile I root for the Giants over the Jets, but other than that I like the Jets. Same with the Mets as a Yankees fan. New York is New York.

Unless you're in our division, so the Nets and Islanders are a different story.

I was unaware that our defense led two fourth quarter comebacks. I better go and watch the tapes again since I was pretty sure it was Eli throwing the passes and not Strahan.

Drew Brees had a year too, where he threw 20+ INTs.

Eli pretty much won that SB for them 2 years ago. That team could have easily been 6-10. I guess you forgot all those 4Q come from behind (the defense stunk) wins, huh?

Giants also that year ranked dead last in rushing yards. So he had no running game to help him.

On top of that, Eli has stepped up in the playoffs and made plays to win games. Romo has not. In fact, he makes plays to lose games. You put Romo on the two Giants SB teams and they're not winning it either year. Romo makes mistakes at the worst possible times.

Romo is immensely talented. He should be able to lead his team to a Super Bowl. He just can't put it all together.

I don't care that his defense allowed 51 points. He and Peyton went blow for blow and ended up tied at 48. Romo had a chance to be the hero, and instead he forces a throw and ends up the goat. That's who he is and what he'll be known for, until he can prove otherwise.

Yup. Agreed completely.

And I am a big Romo fan, as well. I have consistently said that I find him to be one of the toughest MFers in the NFL and that the dude gets way too much grief. But the fact of the matter is that he chokes.

Remember the Jets game a few years ago? He practically handed Revis the ball in the 4th quarter.

I'm not actually arguing that Eli won championships by himself. It's just that one guy has become known for making big plays on the biggest stage, and one guy has become known for blowing it. It's harsh but it's true.

Romo vs Eli is almost like Arod vs Jeter. Before Arod's 2009 playoffs.

Both are/were very good at their positions. But one always put up the more fancier STATS. The other one just won more. That is winning championships.

Or for many years, Tiger vs. Phil. Mickelson was so ****ing good, but he was known as the guy who made the stupid decision or buckled under pressure, whereas Tiger was the guy that always came through.

Phil eventually shook the "choker" label and became a legend in his own right. Time is running out for Romo though.

Up 95-93 in my one league game (he has no one left so I won that game) and up 87-59 in my other league game. That game will be a bit tighter since he has two guys on the Falcons (Jones and Rodgers) while I basically have Gore for the rest of the game and Philip Rivers later. So that one will be a bit closer.

Romo is a much better player.

No he's not.

FWIW, I think the difference between Eli Manning and Romo is minimal. It's why I've always laughed at people placing Manning in the top 5 and mentioning him with Peyton/Brady/Rodgers, while getting on Romo and every little mistake he makes. Romo makes boneheaded plays all the time and hasn't come through like Eli has, which is why I'd rank Eli a little ahead of him. That being said, Eli isn't nearly as good as some make him out to be and people use him being "clutch" and his 2 Superbowl wins to defend him too much.
