All I have to say is that as a Bills fan, the future looks pretty bright. We finally have players all over the field that can make plays. We need to get healthy and I think we will actually make the playoffs sooner rather than later.

Did anyone listen to Linda Cohn's podcast? I'm about 10 minutes in and she is bashing the Giants O-Line hard.

She says if Peyton was on the Giants with what Eli has, he'd be 0-4 too.

He'd get the ball out there somehow. he always does. Giant forehead piece of crap. Hate Peyton even though he's the most talented and productive QB ever

Another thing I want to point out is I was drooling hoping the Jets would take Chance Warmack or Womack or w/e the hell is last name was. (b/c god forbid we forget how to spell a name it invalidates any valid points whatsoever) so again I'm keenly aware of the Jets Oline being porous. But I want to be fair and not reactionary or bias based on previous years and call improvement where I see it.

Bobby Womack >>> Chance Warmack

They look pretty decent, I'm excited for them. I have a lot of friends who are Bills fans, so I pull for them when I can.

Over 50% is a 100% accurate number (it was 52%). And that's Ducasse alone. There are other players also letting by guys on passing plays. Geno had adequate protection on a mere handful of plays on Sunday.

The run blocking is fine. The pass blocking is as bad as it's ever been.

I don't think so. Watching the game it has not been the nightmare that it was. Period. You are effectively throwing out the weak links numbers while ignoring the obvious improvements. Also are those numbers a compilation of the entire season because as I said it was not until about halfway through the NE game that I started to see improvement and that TB game was a disgusting performance from the Oline which could be inflating certain stats. Drastic improvement from dog **** still leaves a lot of room for improvement. Looking at the TB game alone it's been drastically improved from that. The McElroy game is still in my head as well. Those games were all time bad in terms of Oline performance so yes it has improved from the absolute bottom of the barrel.

No one ever questioned Peyton's regular season domination. It's the playoffs that are uncertain.

One last thing the O line improving includes the run game which is where they have been playing much better in recent weeks. That in turn takes pressure off the QB and the D. Nowhere did I say the pass blocking was great, in fact I've said the opposite about the pass blocking, but it too has improved and looks to be improving further.. I also have to wonder if your stat takes into account some of the dumb rookie mistakes that have been Gino's fault and not the O-lines. Running into tacklers, panicking in the pocket, not getting the ball away, etc. Anyway I've got to go for now. I want to play DOTA 2 I think you got all excited with yourself for no reason when you saw the word drastically and without asking what I mean by that you leapt into an inference. You can't quantify "drastically" but when my earlier analysis was that they were a complete pathetic sh**show then it's not as big a deal as you seem to think it is for me to say they have drastically improved.

I wonder just how bad a season this will be for the Giants, historically.

Will we lose 13+ games? Net points? Will Eli throw 30 picks? Will our rushing game get less than 500 yards all season?

We're on pace for some amazing records.

That would be astounding.

I agree. He's far from dominant there.

Can't see any team really stepping up to him though, this year. Texans maybe but Schaub is really underwhelming.

It'll take a very dominant defense with an opportunistic offense. Think Ravens of last year. Only team with similar defense + offense combo is Seattle. They may not even have a shot.

Would be hell of an offensive match up if it were Saints Broncos though. Talk about 48-45 or something crazy.

I didn't do that at all. I admitted that there was an improvement in run blocking. The pass blocking, however, is still putrid. I don't see how you could watch a game and feel otherwise.

Ducasse!!!! :madfire:

Thank God Brian Winters is replacing him this week.

Vlad Ducasse was the Titans best linebacker on Sunday. Only guy who could contain Geno's positive yard scrambles.

Can't stand Ducasse. So many dumb penalties. I really don't see how Winters (or anyone, really, with the exception of Wayne F***ing Hunter) can play worse.

I keep putting Stevan Ridley and David Wilson in my starting fantasy lineup expecting one of them to finally have a 100+ yard, TD-scoring game. Consider me clinically insane.

Very good and I understand that you interpreted me saying "drastic improvement" to mean that the pass AND run blocking were now ranked as "good" but I now carefully and clearly explained that I am referring to a slight improvement in pass blocking and a much more noticeable improvement in the run blocking. I am referring to an improvement in pass blocking ONLY bc based on the TB and Mcilroy games the performance was the absolute bottom of the barrel. I believe I said "Improvement from dog s*** means they're still bad." or something to that effect.

On the other hand the run blocking has been noticeably improved so on the whole I consider the line drastically improved from nearly useless to Needs Improvement.

Anyone with eyes can see they've improved from those two awful games in terms of pass blocking which again isn't saying much and we both agree the run blocking is actually existent again so you may not choose the word "drastic" but that's semantics. Point is we both clearly feel they've improved as a whole and the Ducassing/pass blocking needs to stop failing so hard.

Giants could be in the hunt for Clowney at this rate.

Oline is really the overriding issue though. Can't establish a run game which puts them at a disadvantage bc teams can gameplan for this...and they can't give Eli time to even dink and dunk his way up the field if they wanted to. They need to address it.

Every level of the defense needs work too don't get me wrong...but if they could sustain some drives by moving the ball effectively that would go a long way.

The frustrating part is if you asked Giant fans what concerns they had coming into the year 99% would have identified the line. LB is a consistent gripe but they have made it work without it...but the dline needs to generate enough pressure and the offense needs to stay on the field for that to work. Secondary would probably be #3 but again is exposed even worse than it already is by the 2 factors I just mentioned.

The most disappointing thing is by far Will Beatty. I thought the line would be bad, but not this bad because we were supposed to have a stud LT. So much for that.

This is why I say the Giants are fundamentally broken.

They have a few stud players in Eli, Cruz, Nicks, Rolle, and Amukamara. That's it though, right now.

And I say fundamentally broken, because when Tuck and JPP don't play like stud players, the Giants are going to lose - plain & simple.

Tuck is playing like he's done. JPP is clearly still hurt.

The thing is, unless Eli goes off - and he can't because the O-line is so bad so this hypothetical is as broken as the Giants - the Giants are going to lose.

Giving up 36.5 points per game... That's gonna take you nowhere.

I have a very strong feeling that the fast-paced Chip Kelley offense is going to run train on the Giants defense this week. I sincerely hope I'm wrong, but boy do I lack confidence in this team - and it starts in the trenches.

You're being too harsh on the defense. The defense can't do it's job when 1) the O-Line can't block; 2) the RBs don't know how to run; and 3) Eli can't throw an accurate pass.

The defense has actually been not terrible most games. Just look at the Chiefs game. The problem lies with the disgusting offense. The O-Line was at least functional against the Chiefs, so that comes down more on the RBs and Eli.

Heh, I think you're being too harsh on the offense. Well parts of it (Eli), and too lenient on others, (the O-Line).

Where's the D pressure on opposing Quarterbacks? Non-existent.

I like to defer in these arguments, because I can readily admit you know more about football than I do. Just saying what I see.
