Good thing I never said those guys said Nash was on the ice and skating. I just wanted to point out that the "Nash hasn't been to the practice facility" or whatever Gross said was in contention.

Maybe the Nash camp is the source. They leaked information during the trade process. Zipay asked John Rosasco. The Garden likes to control the flow of information.

I told you he was still in bad shape a week ago. Stop doubting me and my sources. Told you if he comes back not before dec. the specialist is ultimately one of the best in the country and Rangers/Nash are worried

Out of curiosity have you had contact with your source since the latest testing at the facility and if so what was the word on that? Any changes since the last time?

No not yet I called last night word was. no one was in the room or involved that wasn't cleared by the NYR. To be there top secret

I wonder if this concussion specialist is the same one that treated Staal, and if this is the first time Nash has met with him.

None of us really know but Millard said his source reports progress. Shannon said 10 to 14 days. At the same time there's concern. Just hope for the best and if it's December fine as long as he does come back

Crosby and Backstrom both visited a neurologist in Michigan. Jeffrey Kutcher, director of the Michigan NeuroSport program at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He's my guess.

Kutcher tagged along with Fehr to educate players around the league.

Dr. Kutcher is also the Director of the NBA concussion program.

Busy man these days.

Whatever the case is regarding Nash... This really sucks for Rangers fans. All i was thinking in the 3rd against the Ducks was how perfect that game was for Nash to tie it up.

Why is the Nash news so top secret? I'm guessing they are knee deep in trade talks and don't want bad news coming out to ruin any leverage they have in talks.

Seems to me that its not very smart to put a guy going under concussion testing in front of a gaggle of reporters.

Are they trading Nash? If not, then what would Nash's health have do with anything?

Your top scorer is seriously concussed, possibly, and you're trying to trade for more scoring. I would think other teams would take advantage of that in trade talks.

Think he is insinuating that if Nash is out long term and the Rangers brass know this, another team would use this as leverage to extract more from the Rangers in a trade as the offensive woes would be so much deeper then... So keep the lid on and hope for the best. Trade is definitely coming up... Especially if Nash returns

I really hate how tight-lipped the Rangers are when it comes to concussions. They did it with Boogaard (RIP), they did it with Sauer, they did it with Staal, and now they're doing it with Nash.

I understand that "nothing to report" is the status quo, but an update here or there would be great. Who is he seeing? What do they think? Is Nash in contact with the team? Is he coming to the facilities, or strictly staying at home?

From what I remember about Boogaard, isolation was a huge factor in his ultimate death.

Getting blindingly drunk and popping pills by the handful were the huge factor in Boogaard's death.

Most teams don't report heavily on head injuries, because they're so difficult to report on. I don't see how information about how Nash was at home for a few days then went to see a doctor benefits you as a fan in any way. The doctor/client relationship should extend to pro-sports too, especially with something as serious as head injuries.

You're very knowledgeable about mental illness, I can tell.

Never claimed to be.

But I assume if you look at his death certificate, drugs and alcohol are referenced as the cause of death -- not "isolation" or "mental illness"

Yes, and if you looked at the death certificate of someone who drowned it would say that. I suppose the fact that he can't swim is not worth mentioning?
