I wouldn't really say they're undervalued just high in demand. But does anybody have an idea of what would be considered a good deal for tickets in the cup round. I'm a 22 year old college student, 1000+ per ticket isn't really possible for me without wiping my bank account haha

You will not get in for less than that unfortunately. My friend and I put an 800$ limit figure its possibly once in a life time and are slowly realizing its extremely unlikely to go for that price.

Happy for all you guys making big profits on your seats. I follow these threads all the time and there were some great deals to be had, especially early in the season. Better it ends up in your pocket than the Dolans actually price at what the market would pay.

as good a deal you will find is someone listing their tickets here minus their fees from stubhub.

if they list their tickets on stubhub for 1000 each, you probably see it around 1050 or 1100 each, but the seller only receives $850 each.

if you see something on here for ~20% less than stubhub you're getting a good deal

Well Craig's list and stub hub is out of control right now. I work one block from MSG and I am trying to wait it out til right before the puck drops to see if prices will drop. If anyone needs to unload two tickets for $500 for the pair let me know and I will gladly buy them. One fan to another.

Sorry my first post is of this nature. Go rangers!

The restaurant doesn't complain about people not being able to grab their deals.....

broadwayblue, what I do not understand is you are the one who posts the rule to not sell over face every year

I wasn't addressing the issue of selling tickets for over face on this forum...rather the general discussion of tickets costing more than face on the resale market.

As far as listing tickets here for no more than face...yes, that has been the forum policy for a while. However, the reality is nobody will be selling playoff tickets at face value when they can sell them for twice that elsewhere.

I offered my a pair of my seats for tonight's game here (at a significant discount off 3rd party sites) and they went unsold for a couple days...after getting no takers I listed them on SH and they sold within 2 hours for hundreds more. If we are going to follow the face value rule to the letter we might as well shut down this thread until the fall.

i think there is a bit of a bubble. the speculators are gonna start sweating around 6:30. I got ECF tickets two years ago for face value by waiting til 5 minutes before puck drop.

BTW: i can hear the LGR chant outside MSG from my window right now.

I really don't think it's comparable to 2 years ago. US markets are up almost 50% from 2012, plenty of people have cash to blow right now. Also, Stubhub sells tickets until after the start of the game now, so people have until 8:30 to sell. Don't think you're going to see much sweating going on at 6:30, but we'll see.

there will be no sweating at 6:30, but definitely some sweating at 8:25. You might be able to get a "steal" under $350

i meant 7:30. But people with a 4 pack looking to unload two tickets last minute exist. And they don't want to deal with the hassle. I have gotten tickets for face to 5 playoff games in the last two years including the ECFs for one game. I know tonight is a bit different but if you are willing to wait it out there is a chance of making it happen.

388 is single tickets though. Looks like ill be heading to the bar! If anyone is selling Sunday tickets please feel free to PM me.

and there were 1800 this morning for sundays game… thats down to 1300 now… everyone realized how hard it was to get them for tonight so they are buying in advance in anticipation…

Hoping that any of you season ticket guys will be genuine enough to sell ticks for the cup round (if we make it) for a slightly better deal than on stub :). Not expecting it though haha

IF they make the finals, anyone selling tickets will be making a mint.

My tickets right now are going for 1500 a seat, in the upper bowl. No offense, but I can't see anyone giving up 1000+ just to be "nice," unless they are completely loaded. And in that case, why would you even sell if you have season tickets?

I hate selling, but I have to do it just to afford MOST of the games. Selling one game in the SCF could potentially pay one entire seat for my 42 regular season games AND some.

This is also current pricing. I wouldn't be shocked if my seats are going for 2000+ IF they clinch. That's 4000 for both seats. I'd end up paying 1000 bucks for my entire season next year, assuming I don't sell any.

Here's the time of year where people complain about "overpriced" tickets. It's called supply and demand which drives market prices. This team hasn't been to the finals in 20 years so yes the demand is there in a huge way. Any season ticket holder (up until the last 2-4 years) had a hard time selling tickets, the team sucked and they were practically giving away season tickets at one point, you ride the lows and the highs all but make up for everything. Either take it or leave it.

Even this year, for the regular season, MANY fans took losses, constantly selling tickets below face value.

Heck, even for the first round I was only getting 50 or so above my face.

If you don't want to complain about the prices, then shell out the 7-8 grand plus that we do as STH for playoffs and regular season.

Speaking of that, I'm selling my tickets to Game 4

Sec 225
Row 13
Seats 11&12

PM me an offer.

Easier said then done. There is a wait list for any pair in the 200s. I tried myself to get a full season this year and they offered me singles up top or a pair in the lowers.

That is what is crazy about this rd and possibly next...... First round and 2nd round I went for near face value. Now if I want to go anywhere Im paying 4x face.

I think it has alot to do with ticketmaster also, they haven't been dropping anything this rd and they did a ton for rd 1 and 2

You should buy a 10 game or a half season. That is the easiest way to get in the good graces, then work your way up.

I was in the lower bowl this year and asked to be moved to the upper for the entire playoffs and it worked.

Do they do day of returns at the MSG Box Office? Would be a huge risk but might be worth it if I luck out.

Yeah, they asked me to put in a non-refundable deposit so maybe I can be able to get something next season.

That is awesome they were able to hook you up with upper level, I assume you will be moving there next season permanently.
