I'm most curious to hear what happened to Talbot. Guy comes up and is a huge part of the team and then is hurt for the whole Final. That's a real letdown

If they had puttered out in the 2nd round again, then i could see Henrik hoping to be on a better team, but now, where else would he go that isnt set in net, AND is a clearly better team? Boston, LA, and Chicago all are set in net. If a cup is all he wanted (regardless of the team he was on), his best bets are staying in NY and maybe Pittsburgh. Thats about it. NYR is his best shot.

"Expectations are going to be even higher (next year), and I'm looking forward to it." - @RMcDonagh27

I love this guy.

Anton Stralman says he wants to return to Rangers but cites security for his family as No. 1 priority in new deal. Rangers may not have $$$$

Stralman says his family is looking for "stability" and this is where they want to stay but he'll see what happens #NYR

maybe he's ok with a long term deal at less money?

I don't think it will take much for Moore to re-sign with us. The **** he's been through and he wants to come back here...that was telling.

Girardi got hit early in the first period of the second game right after Carter and McDonagh caught knees on a McDonagh hip check. Carter went to the dressing room and came back pretty quick. Girardi was gone for about 10 minutes. Pierre was asked about him and said it was a hand. Anyway Girardi took his glove off in game 5 and you could see his pinky was wrapped. It wasn't from blocking a shot. Not sure if Girardi was slashed before he was hit. It happened fast behind the net and towards the left side corner and they never replayed it.

Give him 6 years at 3.8 mil. If he wants a long contract that's fine with me. No ******** clauses though so they can move him if need be.

Rangers did a terrible job, as always with this of letting guys play an entire season without a new contract.

It just gets harder to re-sign them

I'm convinced we're losing everyone.

considering the people who we REALLY need back (Zucc, Brassard, Kreider) are RFAs.. I would say that's false.

Staal wants a new contract but ends the thought by saying "if not, it's not the end of the world"...

All these other guys around him talking about their desire to stay with the Rangers. At the end of the day it's all words and they're saying all the right things... but reading that Staal said that makes me believe he's ok with moving on from the club, as well.

Seems like the boat is sailing on him, too.

I'm sure one of them will come to training camp without a contract too, like always. Or won't come to training camp, I guess.

I disagree that those aren't the only guys we really need. Guys like Boyle and Moore will be very difficult to replace. I know everyone will pencil in YOUNG PLAYERSS like Lindberg or whatever but I can't stress enough how important I believe Boyle to be. Just amazing on the Penalty kill.

Stralman has proven himself as a clear top 4 defenseman, we had him under an absurdly nice cap hit.

With the amount of guys we have to re-sign this is not looking good. This roster is not going to be as good next year.

That's not what he said. He said it's not the end of the world if it doesn't get done in the offseason. In other words, he's okay negotiating in season.

He may as well have said "show me the money"

Goodbye Anton.

This team, even like halfway through this year, was supposed to be extremely mediocre. "Anything can happen" was a joke used to poke at people who thought the team was going to accomplish anything. Look what happened.

It is never, ever, ever as easy as looking at the roster and saying "good," or "bad," or "better," or "worse." The team needs to play, and play a lot, before judgements worth anything can be made. They need to suffer and bounce back, or not bounce back, before anyone knows what any team is made of. I think we all learned that to some degree this year.

I agree that Moore and Boyle are huge. I'd put the priority on Boyle, as he's been around a long time and I think he's a bigger part of the locker room than most people realize. Honestly, I don't see Moore breaking the bank either though. If he wants to be a Ranger, he's a fourth line forward who didn't play the year before this one (for good reason, but it's a fact none the less), his contract shouldn't be huge.

Really, if they dump Richards, and count on a combination of Brass an Miller to sort out 2/3C (which I realize may not be a very popular opinion, though it's one I hold) they can sign everyone worth keeping, no?
