Great find RangerBoy.

I advocated moving Skjei out of the Gophers system earlier this season.

This would be best. Skjei will never get playing time, especially since they are getting top state dman Vannelli next yr, who is undoubtedly a more complete player than Skjei.

He could go to Regina next yr (they own his CHL rights). It would've been nice if he went there this season and played a big role with them.

There are simply too many players ahead of him on the depth chart, it was sickening to see how he was utilized this year.

Would like to see him get traded to the Winterhawks and hope Jones is sent back down to Jrs. Skjei and Jones played together on the same pairing on the U18 USA team.

Edmonton Oil Kings is also one of the best run organizations in Jr. hockey. Perhaps Griffin Reinhart turns pro. David Musil and Martin Gernat aren't eligible to return next yr. This would open up a ton of ice time for Skjei.

Michal St Croix's Edmonton Oil Kings won last night, sweeping Drummondville to move on to the semi-finals.

He has 12 points, 6 goals, in 9 games so far in the playoffs. I hope they continue on. It looks like Calgary will be their next opponent.

Since when did Drummondville join the WHL?? I think you mean Medicine Hat

Seth Jones CHL rights were owned by Everett. He was headed for North Dakota. Jones told Everett to trade him to Portland or he was going to college. The WHL wanted Jones in their league even it was only one year. Everett wasn't going to get anything for the rights if Jones played at North Dakota for one year. The trade was made. Everett got 4 players in return. Three of the players are playing for Everett this season. The fourth player is playing at Cornell. Jones will be in the NHL next season. Tyler Wotherspoon(Flames 2nd round pick(11))will be playing pro hockey next season. There is a fit in Portland. US based team. Mike Johnston is an excellent coach. Johnston was suspended for the entire season by the WHL. Violation of team benefits. Ex-Islander Travis Green assumed Johnston's duties. If Regina wants to get something for Brady Skjei's rights, they won't have much leverage. The Rangers can tell Regina where Skjei wants to go. The WHL will want Skjei playing in their league. Jones and Skjei played together at the US program. Skjei is wrapping up the semester in the next few weeks. Rangers prospects camp will be in July this year. It will be interesting to see what happens.

Portland would be a good fit. Not a fan of Regina. Have they turned out a decent NHL defender since Jackman? Myles Bell got out of there thankfully, but then he ended up as a forward in Kelowna.

Lindberg nominated to Guldpucken.
"Swedish hockey continues to produce great hockey players and the best thing about this sport is of course to see the young talent be at their best when it matters. While more established players have had it a bit tough in the SM-playoffs, the 21-year-old Oscar Lindberg plays his best hockey. Series winner Skellefteå has only lost one game on the road to the SM-playoffs and Lindberg has been the best player on the team.
Oscar Lindberg is a smart two-way center in the playoffs best line - along with Melker Karlsson and Peter Emanuelsson.
Lindberg has a maturity in his game that few of his own age comes close to having. He has great hockey-IQ and a quality in everything he does on both sides of the ice that many other players of any age never reach.
And above all, Lindberg is one big game man. It is no coincidence that Lindberg decided two straight semifinal games in sudden death. "

- It feels great to be a candidate for the Golden Puck and I'm flattered. There are no bad names that have won this award over the years. To be mentioned in this context makes you grow as a player. It's been good for me in the playoffs and we have done well as a team. I now look forward to a fantastic finale.

A bit predictable how it works though. Basically if Skellefteå wins SEL-gold, Lindberg or his teammate Joacim Eriksson wins it. If they lose, none of them wins it.

Some other no-name scrubs who won the SEL MVP award: Lundqvist, Forsberg, Sedin and Zetterberg.

They'll put alot of value into how the players perform in the WCH's too.

They wait until after the WCH as well? Probably wise since I don't put any value into the EHT tourneys at all. WCH performance is OTOH worthy, if a bit weird, to be considered.

Any word on if the Rangers are going to sign Sam Noreau?

I think 100% they sign him but not until he's done with his season. It will probably be a late may-early June move. He fits a huge need in the Rangers system and has worked hard to improve his game.

Ceresnak will most likely not be signed.

what about McColgan?? he seems to have some potential.

McIlrath has a shot?

Looks like another guy who should be on the pp, but won't

Come one. Come all. We will try them all.

I'd like to think that in my lifetime I'll see another quality PP QB. Asking for another Leetch is asking A LOT, but you've got to be able to come up with someone of quality at some point...
