So when do you think Fasth'll be NA bound?

He better be here within a week. This is a good thing for him because he won't have to play hurt. He can rest for a few days as he gets his stuff in order. I hope he can dress for Hartford by the next weekend. Would be major help for Hartford. He would immediately become the best offensive RW in Hartford.

Bring him over! Very excited to see him in NA!

But I really wouldnt be surprised to see him stay there until the offseason, appears he was a big banged up so he might just heal and get himself ready for training camp, which I would object to either.

To bad HV71 got kicked out so early in the playoff but I guess this means a chance for Fasth to rest and be 100% ready for Rangers. As a fan I just say we will miss Fasth, his work ethic and speed. To bad he ended up when the team was indeed lacking some good roleplayers.
But from all the unlucky and weird injuries he has still worked hard to get back and has also made a terrific season and a good playoff despite the team's result.

People here need to stop crapping on this kid, who has done nothing but improve since he was drafted. You haven't seen him in a year and a half, in which time he has grown bigger, stronger, tougher, with better offense and defense. Edmonton fans are reporting very good things about him, not just in terms of offense, but defense and dirty areas as well. This honor just confirmed that he has had a very good year.

He had nearly 200 points the last 2 seasons and over 300 in his junior career.

Lets see how he does in Hartford next year, but lay off him for now. The kid is a good prospect.

I think he lacks JAM
No JAM - no NYR career
He is by no means an expert puck dumper
Meh at blocking shots
Doubt he can play the boards grinding it out on 45 second shifts consistently
A bit too polished on the PP for my taste
We need JAM!!!!

:help:

Hartford will be an offensive force next year. Not sure about Defense though. Especially if McI is called up.

Found this article with quotes from Fasth after the game, when you run it through Google translate, seems like if he is asked he will come over. Maybe Ola can help us out with the article. Translate also brings back him saying he needs to rest and rehab.

Does not say much
Meeting a real Swedish hockey insider this afternoon and will ask
We are eventually buying into a business together
Was interesting to see that Gordie Clarke was over and watched a playoff game personally with Fast in it recently
Means they must want him over ASAP
Oh, by the way - I moved back to Sweden today

Come on man, you move back to Sweden and Fasth and Lindberg are finishing up their runs in Sweden. Just joking around, hope the move went well.

It did but a bit trashed since celebrating the successful sale of my business located somewhere else in the world
Moving on to new crazy stuff but should have much better insight into Swedish hockey from now on

The HV71 has season come to an end but Jesper Fasth may continue to play. Jesper Fasth now awaits a call from the New York Rangers.
- Of course I am excited, says Jesper Fasth.

But first and foremost he mourned HV71's loss after a total of 4-1 in the quarterfinal series against Linkoping.
- You feel empty, feel like you just want to lie down and scream. It's really tough. It will take a while to get over this, says Jesper Fasth disappointment, sighs deeply and continues:
- It could have been us leading this series 3-1 in games instead but unfortunately hockey is not always fair. I think we should have won a couple of the games played

"The dream is to play in the NHL '
Now it seems instead to become the NHL and the New York Rangers. Fasth has been throughout the season played on loan in Jönköping club and Rangers would certainly want him to join them.
- Of course I am excited, the dream's to play in the NHL. But first and foremost I need to take it easy for a while and rehab so we'll see what happens.

Jesper Fasth and Rangers scout Anders Hedberg had sms-contact during the playoffs and the quarterfinals four, Hedberg and Rangers manager Gordie Clark was in Cloetta Center to follow Jesper.
- They have been keeping up with me, otherwise, they have not disturbed me during the playoffs. So far I have not heard anything concrete.
If they want you to go over now?
- Yes, the dream has always been the NHL. But I have not had time to think about it yet, you feel only emptiness.
How does it feel to finish his career in HV in this way?
- Terribly heavy. I have had three fantastic years here but not got us any results. Going out three quarters in a row is terribly boring.

Sounds like Jesper will Be getting the call soon.

I know he's a pretty good offensive player, but how is he in the JAM department? Does he GRIND along the walls? Will he dive in front of shots? How about the DUMP ins? Do they show any creativity? Bad if they do. What we need is another GRINDER.

He plays RW? Better if he's a LW.
