Also, to punctuate the arguing since i'm just happy this team looks as awesome as they do-
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
He is a cancer to this team. No coincidence they have an elite record without him.
What is this, Bleacher Report? "Negative loser mentality"?! You sound like Mike Francesa. Amar'e, before he got injured again, was playing fantastic basketball. You can't blame a dude who was straight balling for bringing other guys down, because he WASN'T. Fact of the matter is Carmelo hit a slump and has finally shaken that off over the last two weeks. It has nothing to do with "intangibles."
If nobody has a chance to beat the Heat this year, nobody has a chance to beat them the next few years either, so hoping we get Chris Paul isn't going to change anything. We beat the second best team in the league right now because Raymond, our subpar PG, played a FANTASTIC game with Tyson and the pick and roll.
Are the Heat favorites? Yes. Are they favorites for good reason? Absolutely. They're the best team assembled since the Shaq and Kobe Lakers.
But with Carmelo and JR playing lights out basketball and everybody else playing as they are, the Heat absolutely won't barrel over us. It'll be a hard fought series (if there is a Knicks-Heat series.) If Amar'e comes back and plays like he was before he got injured it'll be that much harder for the Heat to win.
Magic number is 2 for the 2nd seedSprained ankle. Just let him sit for the rest of the regular season, he'll be good to go by the POs hopefully.
In fact, let Tyson sit until the PO's, too.
do we own the tiebreaker with indiana?
Amare is useless and immovable. Let him sit out the season and heal up to contribute in 2014 when he will be needed.
I want him nowhere near this team. They dont need him. I wouldnt play him unless they had a 20-point lead with 5 mins left.
With Tyson having injury problems all season and Kenyon's ankle doing what it did last night, Amar'e is far from useless.
Again, the teams rough stretch with Amar'e coincided with Melo being bad. We can blame Amar'e, as the MSM likes to do, or we can blame Melo for being an idiot and waiting forever to get his knee drained/ fasting in the middle of an NBA season. Or we don't have to blame either of them and realize that Amar'e was playing great basketball when he came back and the rest of the team had hit a snag (JKidd and Novak couldn't hit 3's, JR was playing like bad JR and didn't remember how to drive to a rim, Melo was playing like Iverson-lite after NOT seemingly evolving past that for the first part of the season Felton was steadily declining and still chucking up shots, etc.)
I absolutely hope Amar'e is ready for the playoffs.
There is a stat somewhere last yr of the Knicks record with both Amare and Melo starting, it was pretty bad, sub .500 I believe. Both are ballhogs, but Melo is 100000000000x the player, so I'd rather have him play. It will always be Melo or Stat, not both.
So getting back the guy putting up 14 points, 5 rebounds, and shooting almost 60% in just 24 minutes a game is a bad thing?
Sure
