Mock draft 1.0

Peterborough - McGregor

Guelph - Wycisk

Ottawa - Chitaroni

Sarnia - Delisle

Owen sound - Murata

North bay - Laus

SSM - Warren

Flint - Kulemin

Kingston - Edgar

Niagara - Lammens

Sudbury - Roberts

Erie - Jackman

Saginaw - Roscoe

Brampton - Buchman

Brampton - Reznik

Oshawa - Kunopaski

Kingston - Munnings

SSM - Henderson

Brantford - Ardagh

Windsor - Lappalainen

Kitchener - some American stud

London - some American stud
That’s a good list! Was hoping Lappalainen may fall to one of the Petes 2nds

I don’t know if OHL teams love him as much as online twitter scouts.
That's fair! I can see why. Small, bit perimeter at times & can be a bit lackadaisical. From what I've seen I just think his skills, vision are quite high level.

What do you think of Lammens? I've heard some absolutely love him, while others not so much.

I find him to play very selfish as well personally. He skates through guys and tries to do it all vs sharing the puck. Great skill though. But if you want to win do you want soft skill and primates or do you want a sam Bennett type. Lammens won’t produce like Bennett but that’s the type of player he is

May be a bit Hugh but he’ll go 6-9 I figured not 22 or whatever

Maybe that type of play changes when he moves up to the O and is more confident in his teammates…

his team Won the OHL cup and his linemates will be top 30 picks. if that’s the justification then every top prospect should play selfish, but they don’t

Any whispers of players calling their shot/NCAA threats or still too early to hear rumblings? I seem to remember last year there were a few names that only started picking up smoke a day or two before the draft

Very different this year with the eligibility changes, I’d imagine. It feels like the top 16-17 year olds outside of the NTDP will be in the O next year for the most part.

Does anyone know if there's going to be a place to find GTHL stats before the draft? I remember Elite Prospects made them available last season

Jakko Wycisk currently playing for Leamington in round 3 of the OJHL playoffs. They have him on a line with league MVP and former 4 year OHLer Colton Smith, he doesn't look out of place at all.

They're playing Milton who are extremely physical, and he's showing well.

Well I assume it’s down to McGregor and Wycisk for #1

If the Wolves were to bring aboard Terry Chitaroni in a coaching capacity would teams left Brock side to 11 to play for his father?

The Scout 8/10 (Been using them for years to help supplement my own rankings)
Neutral Zone 6/10
Breakaway Prospects 3/10
Ryan McArthur 1/10
Getting back to some of these supposedly "independent / unbiased" or so they say ranking sites... is it generally accepted by scouts on here that they aren't very accurate for mid to late rounds? Past years seems to prove this out where those on the lists % drafted drops off, correct me if I'm wrong. I was looking though some of their pre OHL draft lists (past and this year), they lose a lot of credibility in the mid to later rounds as there are many who should not be on a top 300 list ($ for getting on lists or moved up?), and many who are much better and are not on lists.

you should see teams lists if you think things drop off.

i dont see these lst but i do see the guys out and scouting, you can argue the final lists but its not like they are just collectiong paychecks and adding kids to the list.

i get neutral zone via rinknet and while it was different it at least was generally in line with central scounting rankings. there is one list that i dont like and everyone knows why, the guy sits on a couch and only likes 5'6 players, but its still his opinion, i just dont like how he goes about his work.

every list drops off the later it goes

why do you care?

There was some talk on here earlier about teams registering/drafting players (Americans) from prior draft classes for this draft. Would those players count towards the 4 full time player rule?
Thanks

Tough to say, I think some companies have better reputations than others so pick and choose the information you see wisely. I'd love to hear who you think should not be on the list vs who should be on the lists, because I can tell you if you have you're own "biases".

I've seen some bad lists this year, but I have seen some good ones.

And I will correct myself of my comment on McArthur above, his final rankings are better than his first one.

But my offer stands - "who you think should not be on the list vs who should be on the lists," and I'll share my opionion with you.

his problem is he doesn’t scout a lot and loves every single player. I remember him saying guys like toms and Renaud in the 06 draft would be ‘studs’. every guy is ‘elite’. Hes more of a super fan imo, which is cool. at least he watches games
