Absolutely, I think they’ll be the #2 league behind the gthl for kids drafted. Quite a few solid teams. How do you think the new North Shore (oshawa/clarington) fares?

Not 100%. Oshawa was a pretty good team last year and now adding they could be a pretty good team.

yes there are some good kids outside the GTA, look in Oakville, Niagara and Halton.
Oakville will take a step back this year. They lost a few of their better players which will be tough to replace. I have no affiliation to the team but there may be some internal issues (management wise) that may cause friction.

Niagara will be good. Cooper Oikawa is going back. Raynor, who played U16 will be there, Zaiden Hrachie will also be there this year. They should be a good offensive team.

No info on Halton this year.

From their social media page, Halton added some GTHL kids, Ward and Taylor form the Nats, Katzin from VK and Semenstov form the Red wings to already good core of kids, D'Amico, Scarpelli and Underhill. They also picked up the goalie form the Steel Vreugdenhil, 6' 3".

I also agree Niagara may take top spot this year, but I am shocked that Oakville will struggle. Losing Hraiche and Flora, but picked up Sawaiya and Kapuskasing u-18 kid????

I think they will be strong, some good players like Farmer went there from APR.

Also noticed, whole new coaching staff, with hockey pedigree

Who are some players on Elgin-Middlesex that could get a look?

Any others that could be drafted?
Doxtator, Piskorowski, and Taylor, but beyond that its starts to get watered down.

Is Chitaroni confirmed back to Barrie?
Yes he is back there. They will be one of the top ETA teams. They have a lot of great players. I personally really like Larmand and Martin as well.

I just noticed this on EP, but probably the most accurate so far for players and draft order. They are all user generated.

Ontario OHL Draft 2025
I’d say it’s an ok list. Let’s wait and see how the summer was. There’s a bunch of kids on wrong teams there and a few missing IMO. I’d say no one will have a great idea until Christmas based on my experience. A lot can change since March of last year.

Considering there are like 20-21 teams in the OMHA, they’d better have a lot of kids drafted.

The OMHA didn’t fare well this past weekend. Niagara looked sluggish against Waterloo, losing 4-2. Oakville looked disorganized and didn’t have their usual high tempo puck movement in their loss to the Rebels 3-1. Halton did come back from a 3-0 deficit to win over Barrie, they didn’t look polished as well, but have bench strength and some more talented kids to assist in the comeback. Titans tourney against GTHL teams will be a good test.

Rebels beating Oakville is insane. Halton beating Barrie, especially after being down 3-0, is also a head scratcher.

Halton picked up some players form the GTHL this past summer and really firmed up their back end, plus added 2-3 good forwards. Niagara and Oakville made some changes as well. A true test will be the Titans tournament, lets see what the OMHA has to offer against the GTHL top 5.

Oakville showed a bit better against DMF this past weekend. That being said DMF did not look very good! Tons of talent and depth, but a little rusty. IAM sure they will be ready for the Titans Tourney. Titans looked a little off kilter as well, only beating Niagara 4-0, who was missing players due to sickness. Let’s see what the Early bird brings and who has been putting in work over the summer!

Do you have a 09 kid playing this year?

Some stats from the Titans Early Bird seem incredibly inflated during RR.

Always taken with a massive grain of salt, I suppose.

Definitely inflated with some weak matchups for the top teams but when you consider Valentini had 24 points in 7 games last year and Wassilyn had 13 goals in 5 games I think they can be taken for face value as a good indicator of what's to come this year. There are several players I would have slotted in as definite first-rounders in the top 20 scorers, but there is also a number I certainly wouldn't have in the first few rounds.
