Yeah, I'm not sure what the German goalie was doing on the first one. He was almost in the corner with the puck and literally passed it right out to Makarov who was streaking into the slot, with an empty net, and no goalie within 10 miles.helicecopter said:Is the IIHF scoresheet correct?

The 2nd one was just a nice breakaway.
Makarov is very good, and I don't even think he's eligible for the draft until 2006. I didn't like the fact that he acted like he got the game 7 overtime winner when it was an 11-3 game, though.
Anikeenko is looking much better, I think, and my favorite Buravchikov keeps doing everything right. At this point (and I'm only basing this on the three games I've seen), I'd take both of them before Zubarev (who's the captain, by the way).
Even though they don't have any Ovechkins, Malkins, or Radulovs, this Russian team is oozing skill. Zubov, Sopin, Krysanov, Makarov, Buravchikov, Kucheryavenko, Trukhno, Bumagin... they're fun to watch.
Damn... I was hoping he'd be around the 15-20 range.Macman said:13-1 at the midwaypoint of the third. Yeah, Keenan said they like Parent's leadership.
