That little moment when Kreider goes up to Claesson, and gives him a tap and a hug is why Kreider is captain material. Making Claesson and others feel like they’ve been part of the team for 5 years is good to see.

If the Rangers re-sign Kreider long-term, I could easily see him as the next captain.
