With injuries we’re using our 4th line less but it’s playing better when it is out there because Puljujarvi and Bemstrom are competent skaters. Win/win.

But when Acciari & Nieto come back they’ll be back to 11-12 minutes stuck inside their own zone.

After that 3 game road skid, with that embarrassing debacle in Colorado, we've managed to win 6 out of our last 7 games. After the COL game, I didn't see them beating CAR, NYR, NJ, WAS, TAM, TOR or BOS.

Here's to hoping they keep streaking and I'll be happy if they get 1 point in TOR, but why can't they win out?

I’m actually going to Toronto tomorrow to see some friends and the game on Monday. I was convinced a few weeks back it was going to suck but now it’s going to be INSANE. I am going to embarrass the hell out of buddy and his precious little Marner jersey by making a bunch of suits hear me shout LETS GO PENS for three hours straight

Jack St. Ivany is bigger and can take the body. Ruhwedel just was too small and got physically beat far too many times. Getting a 4th was some kind of magic. Rust is just not the same player who would use his speed and be a little physical. Now he just won't get to the hard areas. Bunting plays like Rust used to. But 2 point is two points so take it and run.

Oh…and Philly just keep losing…

1. Because it’s Philly.

2. Helps that early to mid 2nd round pick!

We owe a 1st anyway. I’d rather make the playoffs this year and give SJ a "late" 1st round pick.

Just enjoy the ride, it’s ok to be happy.
It's a shocking seat in best case scenario territory. The pick isn't too painful to flip back, everything else is bonus.

It would be hilarious if they somehow finished 3rd in the division after how much of a mess this year has been

An interesting discussion to have: how does this team making the playoffs change your views of this season?
It doesn't change my views. Dubas still has a lot of work to do to fix the holes this roster has. And I'm still unsold about Mike Sullivan.

But you know what? I don't even want to get too analytical about what they're doing right now. Sometimes you gotta just sit back and ride the emotions of it all.

I'm real proud of them for playing like this. Did I want a high pick? Yes. I didn't think the playoffs were possible a few weeks ago. Never thought this team had this run in them, or that the east would collapse dramatically enough for the run to matter.

Good on this team for trying to prove me wrong. I am enjoying this.

The penguins do need their fourth line players to average at least ten minutes per game.
