I’ve always hated Sid and Rust together, thought they were good despite each other, but they seem to really be meshing and feeding off of each other this go-round

Rust is a completely different player compared to last year. Sucks that his injuries probably cost him a 40 goal season.

Ivany is great! We have been searching all year for that # 3RD… ruhwedel, Shea, Ludvig,etc. and st. Ivany been there all season long…. He is your current #3rd and your future #2 RD. Calm, big, decent skater, and makes good outlet passes.

Rust's biggest problem is if he's away from Sid he is useless just like Rakell. It would be nice to have a few wingers capable of playing on either top line, not just with Sid.

Which is why meathead sully should have put Jake with Geno early in the year, it would have helped the entire roster. Sully mucked up this season and he will be championed for this late rally. STUPID

Yeah, just look at it realistically. Crosby, Malkin, Letang and Karlsson have all played every single game this season (Crosby and Malkin for two years in a row). Is that going to happen again next year? Other than Crosby for the most part, none of those guys are known to be the most durable and age doesn't exactly help in that regard.

Most Canes fans don't even know what icing is. He was probably their worst regular forward this year. It did seem like the trade is working out well for both teams now. I still think PIT got a poor return though.

Certainly has seemed to reignite the fire in the team's belly and brought heart and spark they've been lacking forever.
