Good news. We never trailed the entire game.

We scored 4 goals.

Team showed some fire tonight.

Was about to post that Never trailed, still lost. Is that a positive sign at this point? It should be, given as the wild have lost 8 games all season at home.

Really didn't dislike our effort over all. Obviously would like to clean up the D but keep in mind who are opponent was. That should sharpen us up for a huge game tomorrow.

I would play Kopitar on the fourth line all night VS Calgary.

Who knows, he may score from there.

King/Kopitar/Clifford, play them 9-12 minutes.

He deserves all the crap he is getting for everything else but re-watch that play and tell me how smart Doughty is for completely splitting off to the side or Carter bumping and releasing his guy.

All three poorly communicated, Doughty could/should have been behind Kopi or could have said something, NEVER in the Kings system does the high guy have no one behind him.

It's microanalysis and kind of pointless because Kopi had a **** night and deserves to be a pinata but I'm not letting Carter off the hook because he's the golden boy or Doughty either, that was guys thinking the other team wasn't going to be aggressive so soon and they all mentally took off.

Kopi has 6 goals in 55 games, it's not just a **** night, it's been happening all season.Carter actually scores and leads this team since the 14 million 6 goal caption can't score or lead.Carter has saved this team this season with 30 goals.Its time Kopi start acting like a 14 million dollar player leader and Capt or remove the C and give it to Carter.Caryer has 9 overtime goals.Carter can't win every game or score in everyone either.

I absolutely agree, there are no words that can describe my frustration with him. I remember he used to coast and go on scoring droughts but this is beyond anything I've ever seen from him.

Doughty was behind him when he glanced back. Doughty then split off to the side. Granlund attacked Kopitar, and Kopitar still saw 3 Wild in front of him. By the time he looked back, Doughty was not behind him.

Bad miscommunication. I'm not saying Kopitar's not at fault. And if it makes people feel better to just pile on that play, fine. But Drew and to a lesser extent Carter ****ed that all up by moving off and not communicating in time if at all.

The guy 'flying down the other wing' had barely crossed the red line and would have been an easy mark for Kopitar.

Christ people I'm not even defending Kopitar in the grand scheme of things I'm just saying that was a total catastrophic breakdown even if he was the eye of the storm.

I would love to be a fly on the wall when Lombardi no doubt after that game, has a talk with his new Captain, after the comments Kopitar made to the media about the trade deadline.

Lombardi can't be happy with Kopitar after these last few days, then having a game like that.
