I guess it must have some appeal.

It's a bit troubling that Gretzky makes hockey less exciting though. They may want to rethink that split screen with Gretzky opining, like the most boring economics prof anyone's ever heard, while there's an exciting game being played out on the main camera.
It was brutal - 2 goals scored and the game completely changed while Wayne prattled on about nothing really on a split screen.

What why lmao
Rangers fans unconditionally agree with everything their front office does? There are Rangers “fans” who would say horrible things about Quinn, DeAngelo, the list goes on. It just so happens the one I dislike is Drury. And I don’t say anywhere close to as heinous of things about him that people said about DeAngelo and Quinn.

Jovo Makes a point imo... my handle is based solely on hating David Quinn.

I mean, Dallas is a middling team traveling halfway across the country. This is our home opener. If we weren’t expecting to win I’d be really concerned.

Nils better be in tonight. Miller's time is ticking. At the very least move him to the third pair and shelter him if they want him up in the NHL instead of the AHL.
Too early to call "sophomore slump" on Miller?

KM being BM

Ofc Holtby will look to be in vintage playoff form when Hank needed a GAA under 1.5 and SV % of 99.9 for us to take him out in 7 games by the skin of our teeth

A shitty tap in goal from Strome or Kreider on the PP for the appearance that everything is fine. No points from the youngsters but everything is fine.

We are 1 failed development away from the rebuild collapsing beneath the feet. But at least Ryan Strome and Kreider for PP goals!

Forget the return of the players. They come and go.

I'm just happy that Sam's back. I'm still detoxing from that freak show on TNT last night. And I'm a fan of Kenny Albert's play-by-play and Keith Jones' analysis is typically astute and humorous. The rest was just horrible. Gong show stuff. Too much of nothing.

yeah i thought we were finally rid of Edzo when NBC lost the coverage but there he f***in was again with his typical lazy analysis and catch phrases. 15 years of commentary and he hasn't improved one bit since the day he started.

Last night during the broadcast one of the announcers mentioned how the Rangers need to adjust their power play to generate offense from downlow as opposed to everything coming from up high. But I think this logic should apply to ES too. One change I'd like to see tonight is for one of the top two lines to generate offense from below the goal line. We have one of the heaviest teams in the league. We should be generating some offense coming off the walls. We did a really really poor job of that last night.

I know none of the Rangers brass reads this, but if they do: PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD identify the team's "identity line". Chytil, Kakko, Blais? Something like that. And start them every period. I repeat, do not. DO NOT start with Zibby or Panarin lines. Set a damn tone.

A couple of years ago, pre-Covid, they were really good at low-high cycles. Going from low left corner diagonally across to the right point, as such, with continuous switches and give-and-go's. Still they were more of a finesse cycling than a heavy, board-based cycle. Zib and Panarin love playing that cycle style. But the league caught on or something and it's no longer effective unless they can add a heavy element to it.

Just run the lines that they ran in preseason. There is no reason not to. Just go back to what you had and see what happens.
