I`m talking with a woman earlier this evening who live some miles away from me, but I don`t understand them sometimes - so hard to communicate with her. Is`t me or - am I hard to understand here on HF Boards once in a while? `sigh..

I've always been able to understand your posts. I think it's her.

It was self critique and it`s fine. I think it`s room for improvement as well. I just don`t think she understand sport in that degree - and so many women in Canada and US that enjoy and love hockey.

I think its her. But then again, I don't know how you come off in Norwegian, maybe its different from how you come off in English.

One thing I'm impressed with is how you Euros (there are a number of you guys on this board) have real meaningful hockey conversations (and some non-hockey conversations) in a language other than your own. Maybe I'm just an idiot, but there's no way I think I'd ever be able to do that, and do anything other than sound very robotic. For example, I speak some Spanish, but any conversations I've had in Spanish are very robotic because I don't understand the intricacies of the language from a conversational aspect. I'm very impressed how all the Euros here not only have perfect English, but understand the intricacies well of real, long analytical English conversations.

I don't think you're going to be able to impose your will so easily this year against the TML.
If the NYR can weather the storm in the first and maybe even pop a few goals in they'll be in good shape.
I think the beginning of the 2nd decides this game and if AV will ever make an adjustment to what's going on in front of him.
Not likely IMO..

Anywho
Drop the puck!!
Lets go Rangers!!!!!!!

I kind of agree with that decision. He has to play sometime and the Habs aren't exactly an offensive powerhouse.

Yeah, I find the situation pretty weird. It is true that in the past he's struggled against them, but the last two playoff series against them, he's done very well, so maybe not. Maybe he still doesn't like playing them and its one of those goalie superstition things. A lot of goalies are more superstitious.

No worries Ori.
You're very easy to understand.
Maybe she's just acting like she has the same interests because she's interested in you :)

I mean I think you can still get good chances against them by pressuring their D but if you make a mistake they go to offense real fast and are very skilled at scoring in a variety of ways. Have to keep them off balance and keep control of the puck as much as possible.

Absolutely..They just need to sync up and play a smart game.
No pond hockey.

I was supposed to fly in for this game but had to give up my ticket.
My friends are there having fun without me grrr lol

Winnipeg dominated Toronto much of that game, but Toronto managed to score off of limited opportunities. The score was pretty misleading as far as how the game went.

Seems like it should be a pretty similar game to Colorado, except that, hopefully, things move a little easier for us up ice as guys continue to acclimate. Love games with the Leafs though. We're more similar than many give credit: avg age TOR (27.372) vs. avg age NYR (27.371)

Yeah puck management and not turning it over in the offensive zone where they can break out real quickly is crucial against the Leafs

Good luck with staying out of the box.

Breathing is a penalty this year.

It is early in the season - Refs are seemingly always more penalty happy early on and settle down as the season goes, and the players are still adjusting I suppose

I need a cold San Miguel, back in a bit. I really recommend that brand - if u have not tasted it.. ..so refreshing. :)

Have you tried putting her in a headlock? Or a rear naked chokehold?

It`s fine to change topic. She live over 60 miles away, and I can`t visit her unfortunately tonight, but I like her. :)

Speaking of AV just before puck drops. I`m so excited now - soon pre show in Canada! ;)

I'm sometimes known as a pessimist, and I accept that, but I'm predicting a loss here. I think we beat the Habs tomorrow though!

I'd be happy with one win through these two. Thrilled with two wins or a win and a loser point. Every game counts!

I like the vest/shirt/tie combo from AV tonight. Wish he went with a flat grey for the shirt, but otherwise, he looks sharp.
