I mean, I get why they are mad and disappointed, and this day was always looming in the distance. It's just sad.

Tony can be a lot better and he knows that @Irishguy42 - he has high talent, but it won`t hurt his career to sit couple of games. If DeAngelo plays - at least demote Smith down to the 3rd pairing.

I re-watched it and hit Vesey skates behind him, but still it was a questionable defensive play by DeAngelo.

Don't feel too bad for him. His Networth is probably north of $100 mil. He sleeps well at night.

Im not worried in the slightest, yet. The team needs time to "gel", to get used to their teammates, the system,etc. And Hank has always had a tendency (as long as i can remember) to be very shaky in the start of a season. If they look just as bad (especially defensively) 10-15 games from now, i'll start worrying.

As for today, new game, new opportunities

(though i'll have to admit that a win would be nice, hehe)

I predict OT hockey this evening with a loss in OT - it depends who start Henrik or Pavelec. I`ve notion Henrik will start this game too. We might win in OT if Henrik start by the way.

yeah for sure - we can`t really compare the two teams.
And when I think about goalie matchup - Henrik might be more motivated to play against Price this evening - so we should start with Henrik in goal.

Chytil played what, 5 minutes? I hardly ever saw him out there.

That is bad but what really bothered me last night is that Zooks and Nash only played around 90 seconds in the first 10-12 minutes of the game because AV was not playing that Chytil line. Nash finally got in on a PK and Zooks on a PP but we can't win a lot of games if those guys don't play and play well. To AV's credit he did put JT on their line in the 2nd and play them a regular shift. In fact Nash and Zooks played an extra shift later on with the 4th line.

Because Zucc and Nash were. You can only have two players wearing the 'A' during a game, IIRC.

Not sure if they announced what the deal was going to be with only 3 alternates.

Yes, I just notice it - not sure why though.. I`ve never seen M. Staal this motivated in the 2nd period. He looks like young M. Staal.
