:handclap:

If we won yesterday, there would be a Plan The Parade thread. So much overreaction.

I don't mind the loss, the problem I have is with the way we played. I watched every single hockey game yesterday except for Devils/Islanders, and nobody played as bad as we did. The lack of chemistry, amateur mistakes, and overall bad play really just killed it for a first game back for me.

Oh well. I'll worry if we lose 4 more in a row. Other than that. LGR.

Honestly going 1-1 after playing Boston and Pitts back to back would be fine. the Flyers are 0-2. Gettr done tonight with energy from the crowd boys

The positive of Torts switching lines all the time is that he'll make switch if it's not working. Of course the negative is when he makes the switch too early.

its a waste to put kreider with boyle and pyatt. he will help more playing with stepan or richards

Kreider will be lucky to score any goals this year playing with those 2. Not only are they nowhere near as talented, Kreider blows by them, its a horrible use of him.

I agree. Enough of this talk with Pyatt on the first line. The first line should be reserved for players with enough talent to play there. Kreider might not be there yet, but he's got the potential. There's only one way to find out if he can realize it.

Rangers will be right there in the end, but I just dont think Hagelin is a 1st line player. It was fine when we didn't have anyone else we could use, but now we have Nash so guys like Callahan or even Kreider (who has much more potential than Hags) can be there.

Well normally chemistry develops between 2 guys so the 3rd guy can often be interchangeable. Like with Jagr & Nylander. I mean even Brad Isbister got 1st line minutes, because they just needed a warm body as a LW. Same here if RIchards & Nash are able to click at some point. I have no problem with Hagelin there.

Kreider is not a player who can make plays by himself but if you put him with guys like stepan and richards he can be a lot more dangerous I mean boyle cant set him up and pyatt even though i like him is just a grinder

Stepan and Callahan have never had good chemistry. So don't play them together. Steps has good chemistry with Kreider and Gaborik. Makes too much sense to try that as our 2nd line. Put Richards between Nash and Cally on the first.

Hagelin is most certainly not a first line player.

Neither is Kreider. Not even close. At least Hagelin can find the puck when it is under his feet.

And a problem emerges when you try to align players based on their characterizations of ability. Malkin is a first line player, but its better than he doesn't play there. Crosby's wingers are not first liners, but it is best if the play there because that is how the team clicks best.

I like Hagelin but i dont know why Torts has so much confidence in him. He was a ghost in the playoffs and his play last night pretty much gave boston the momentum

I would love to see krieder on the first line and I hope it happens today, but torts is about earning ice time. If krieder proves he can play on the third line with boyle and pyatt he'll get a shot, this may not produce many points, but torts wants to be comfortable with where he is in his development and make sure he gains confidence and continues developing. So we have to wait and see, but I think that is what torts is going for
