Damn, you're right. I remembered the puck getting thrown toward the empty net and I was in the kitchen when the last goal was scored so I didn't have a great memory of it. My memory ain't what she used to be. ENG aside, I stick by everything I said in the post and I'm glad that someone agrees.

one thing I think we should all keep in mind is quite a few of the teams, boston being one of them played exhibition games (I think boston played 2, but i'm not sure) against their ahl affiliate teams and that can make a difference knowing how the players are in a game before games start and what lines look good, plus the bruins are the same team they were basically from the last couple years we have a few new players

P: We'll lose one or two of the first few games, prompting mass panic and suicide alerts before going on to finish first in the conference.
U: We'll roar out of the gate and win 10 straight, causing people to come back to the "Rangers are Unstoppable" thread to apologize and say that it looks like it's actually true.
W: Brooks says something this year that doesn't immediately make steam come out of Torts' ears.

I'd like to take this opportunity to quote myself from the "probable, unlikely, weird thread". :D

Torts says he's liked what he's seen from Asham in training camp, thought he skated well. "We don't expect him to be a saint."

Torts says he definitely wants to monitor the minutes for the players. Cites Kreider's 10 minutes last night, result of early penalties.

Between Halpern being disappointing on faceoffs and Rupp being a waste of oxygen, here's hoping Asham can add some use to the 4th line.

I almost want to see a 10-0 thrashing, just to see how we'll all react.

is Hagelin's suck ass still on the 1st line?

Ugh I hope not. He was awful last night. I didn't think the team as a whole played terrible like everyone here says. Just really disorganized, but Hagelin stood out to me as particularly bad.

That being said, I'd like to see a line of Nash-Richards-Cally. Put Hags on the 3rd line and move Kreider to the 2nd with Steps and Gabs.
