Not going to lie, sure would be nice to bury the Islanders this week. It’s early in the season still but with the amount of injuries and COVID issues they have and how far back they already are, it could be over for them sooner rather than later. Digging out of that hole is going to be ridiculously hard when factoring in 3 point games and how tough the Metro is. Never know when COVID is going to hit your team which is why it’s especially important this season to bank points when you can even if you don’t necessarily deserve them in a given game.

The amount of excuses for the islanders right now as if they were winning games before the Covid outbreak is ridiculous. They sucked. Then they lost pelech to injury and that really made them suck. Then they lost two home games and did nothing in them.

they were completely healthy for two playoff runs. They didn’t feel sorry for anyone they played with injuries including us. I hope we bury them tomorrow on our way to a thanksgiving showdown with Boston

they also chose to replace them with even older players in chara and parise when really they needed to get younger. Obvious to everyone but Lou. And that Palmeri contract smells too

The Sharks played with seven players in COVID-19 protocol; the Senators did not once they got to 10 players and a coach — former Isles coach Jack Capuano — in protocol.

So the Isles plan to play on, unfair though it may seem. Everyone was aware of the guidelines before the season started and that postponing games was an absolute last resort, so the Isles must muddle through.

This is not going to be easy. Trotz is more than aware that all his guns are out of the lineup and I'm sure wants to drag this one through a layer of mud several meters below the 1995 NJ Devils. If the zebrae don't whistle the BS the Isles will be playing it could be a long night. Also, the Isles don't have a win in that new building.
