I'm guessing he is, but you're going to have to finish dead last to get him IMO. Outside shot if you finish 2nd to last.

He's far from the sure #1 pick. Jones has just as much a chance and some others perhaps have an outside shot at being taken #1. And finishing last only gets you like a 25% chance at the #1 overall pick anyhow.

sure right now he has just as good of chance, but I would imagine as we get closer to the draft it will start heading back to MacKinnons favor and he will go #1, I am not planning on the Sabres getting a top 5 pick but it would be nice if we could for once.

won't happen with MacKinnon, their are no questions to his game

What I don't like about the Sabres (or any for that matter) board is that now the draft order is pretty much random. Even if you are last, top 2 pick is not given. :help:

Not correct. If you are last you are guaranteed to pick 1 or 2. The most any team can move down is one slot.

Love Harry Neale, I know a lot of you aren't hot on him even in his new role but he's so amusing. He's not what he used to be -- younger people probably don't understand that he was one of the best hockey broadcasters ever -- but he's still amusing.

Warm-up rushes look like: 26-19-29, 42-63-21, 82-25-36, 9-12-55.

Interesting. With Scott out it's clear coach wants 4 legit lines. It's also clear to me so far that he wants to give Gerbe a shot with talented players, something he hasn't had much of the past couple seasons. I understand if you don't think it's worth that chance but I say why the hell not.

Meh, Gerbe already had a chance in the top-6 with Hodgson and Pommer and no one came away impressed from that Caps game .. I'm not expecting anything different from him tonight either, but my interpretation of the lines speculates that Ott might be nursing something and could see limited minutes, as he did miss some practice to ice something yesterday.
