@Joey Bones these are the guys eligible to be added per the rules we have always used. You don't have to abide by those rules, in theory, but it's what we've always done. I know some of these guys like Pionk and Chytil will roll off before the season is over, by the eligibility always goes by their status at the beginning of the year.

The last one ended late July and it's the middle of November. Less than 4 months. Not sure what the rush was. Just saying. Should have waited till after the WJCs like we have done the last 8 years.

He likely is, but, right now, Chytil is performing in the NHL. Until Kravtsov shows he can do that, (which I believe he will), Chytil gets the edge.
 
Chytil V. Kravstov is my favorite argument ever. The fact that these two could be on a line together for years brings me to such happy places.

This is key for me, one already in the NHL and Karvstov still has to make the transition. I also can't go with a goalie at the top, will be happily proven wrong but there are just too many variables for goalies. Shesty is by no means a lock to be a starter in the NHL and a couple of years away before we know for sure.

Fully agreed. I’ve tried to balance my rankings among three criteria - 1) Upside, 2) likelihood of reaching that upside, and 3) where they are in the process.

I have Chytil and Kravtsov so close that I wonder how much impact it would have on the results if this poll went up 3 games ago.

Went with Kravtsov, but certainly understand the votes for Chytil and Shesterkin.

We might not have that future super elite star, but our depth right now (before a few of these guys graduate real soon) is absurd.

With Allaire I would be absolutely shocked that barring injuries is Shesty is not at least starter level in this league.

eh, that's not a fair comparison IMO. I guess it's how you determine what a prospect is.

If Kravstov comes over next year, I believe he'd out perform Chytil in his D+2 year. That's why I think he's the better prospect.

This is all conjecture

And if he doesn't come over, and Chytil puts up 30 goals at the age of 20, he's got a lot of catching up to do. Right now, Chytil checks off all of my boxes. While I believe that Kravtsov has the ability to be the better player, Chytil is ahead of him in his development.
 
I’ve done a lot of mental gymnastics since this thread went up trying to find a way to make a list where Barron is in the top 10, I don’t think I can do it

The spectrum of starters from good to avg to bad is kind of wide. If he’s just avg starter than does that warrant a higher ranking? Idk

Not bad when one of your first round picks from 2018 is barely in the top 10. 2 years ago he would have probably been at the top of the list with the prospects we had.

If DeAngelo is eligible I'd like to change my vote from Kravtsov to DeAngelo.
