KAM had an absolute stellar game. Played like a true, complete #1 stud

Chytil line did not get nearly enough time when they were the only ones skating imo.

Besides them, this is what happens when you sleep through the 1st 2 periods and your '1C' is playing like a vegan. Spare me his 'point total'. He's the same player as 'long haul covid' Zibs. Big problem for the team.

Panarin back to his 'over passing'. Was nice while it lasted. Why though? It's infuriating.

Shesty hasn't been 'sharp' since he came off for concussion protocol. Fox has been 'off'. ( our two best players so far ) Seeing eye floater is the difference in the game. He normally stops the 2nd goal against as well.

Nemeth and Lundkvist needs to change.

Goodrow in the top6 should be over.

We lost the game but we're evenly matched. I'm more angry than I should be

Every loss we have this year SHOULD end with us pressing hard for the last 10 minutes. Toronto's big offensive guns did fck all but their defensive stick work, their good luck, and NYR lack of polish made them hold on. Reminded me wins we used to have back in the King/McD days
The Lundqvist/Jagr teams were much better IMO

Panarin had a decent third period.

I maintain that we aren't going to get much from Zib until he has a right winger that deserves to play in the top 6.

Fox was solid, Kakko got an assist, Miller looked fantastic - those stars were good.

Strome looked outclassed in every way tonight. We aren't going to beat these types of Trotz-like teams without winning face-offs. We start every play without the puck and need to chase it - that's not a formula for success against good defensive teams.

Strome’s spot needs to be upgraded badly.

How the f*** do you lose over 80% of your faceoffs not just once, but twice to the same team lol
They did this to us last game as well. They legit keep on pwning us on faceoffs. How can a team be so bad a faceoffs for as long as Mika has been on this team. He cant win a faceoff for his life.

Lafreniere was terrible tonight.

Overall, they battled. Toronto is a good team no matter how much you want to let their past 1st round failures influence your thinking, this year’s team is very good. They rounded out the team more.

This was a competitive game and they were in it until the end. Yes Igor made some big saves, but so did Campbell. It goes both ways. I dont think the top 6 had a good game by any means, but they competed.

I thought they played better then they result they got tonight.
The ice was bad, the refs put away their whistles in the last 7 min especially. But ultimately, our big guns couldn’t get one by Campbell.
Zibby is not at the point where he’s playing the whole game yet

Reilly scored 2 goals. One of their stars showed up and won them the game. Didnt see the first 2 periods but saw a lot missed by the refs in the 3rd for sure.

His first goal was a seeing-eye point shot that beat a screened Shesty.

You know how Sidney Crosby can turn any scrub into a scorer on his line? That’s what 1Cs do.

I’ve been a huge Mika supporter but he’s simply not been good enough.

The team played well tonight overall. This was a good loss. Night and day from the last game they played against this team and happened to win.

Panarin had 4 shots, second most on the team in this game, he passed up like 2 shots and made passes, and he had a breakaway and almost scored, he had a good game. This team would be so much worse if he were not on the ice, you should be grateful he is on this team and leave him the hell alone, who the hell are you?

Yes, I saw him, you must not have been paying attention, had a few big hits, just couldn't get open, the Leafs were the better team had much better legs.
I agree with this for the first two periods but the 3rd the Rangers were by far the better team and had better legs. If the refs actually did their job the outcome might’ve been different with a couple of powerplays in the 3rd period alone

I prefer to laugh at idiotic comments.

Why is it so important for you to be the smartest guy in the room, that seems to be all you are getting at all the time? If you are smart good for you! wohoo

Feels like deja vu waiting for Zibanejad to start scoring some goals. Would be nice to see him go on one of his hot streaks right about now. He's not quite COVID bad this year but he needs to be better.

And though I like what he brings to the team, having an 8-goal scorer like Goodrow as the first line RW is a roster management screw up. And if you say well he's only there because Blais got hurt...Sammy's not much better.

Laf has been playing poorly, with kakko at least you notice him because he can handle the puck along the boards and control it. Kakko can develop in the nhl, where as Laf, he isnt noticeable a lot of the times. He needs to get sent to the minors to light a fuel and gain confidence.

Mika's problems are not his linemates.... It's Mika. It's his tofu powered game. He's a second behind on all his decisions. Slow to react. Sluggish. He looks anemic one could say. To top it off, he's reactive. Not a good combination.

Good Mika = relentless and attacking.
