I said this in the other thread but ADA and Shatty is a fantastic combo on the PP. Two good playmaking options that can move down and threaten a good shot.
I get that, but why are the standards so different for him from just about any rookie we’ve had in the past?
If he were a top 100 draft pick, with less than 100 pro games under his belt, about half a season in the NHL, wouldn’t most people be talking about what he might become with a few years experience?
I am not projecting superstardom for Pionk, but there is definitely a pedigree bias at work here.
