Agreed especially considering that Gustafsson and Copp are done for the season and random injuries to Soderblom are causing the callups to Griffins special teams players like Shine/Watson/RaffertySkelleftea losing early I honestly think would be the best thing for both prospects. ASP gets NHL time and MBN helps the griffins playoff push.
ASP could be upgrade over GustafsonAgreed especially considering that Gustafsson and Copp are done for the season and random injuries to Soderblom are causing the callups to Griffins special teams players like Shine/Watson/Rafferty
Would be a great early experience for ASP and MBN to be relied on in a Griffins playoff push
I don't even think it's really on MBN. Skelleftea just didn't know how to use him. They certainly don't value physical play very much, because he's been destroying guys all year long on the forecheck. One of the league leaders in PIM, too. I guess you could say he should have adapted, but I think it's perfectly fine that he kept playing his game.Love seeing MBN get on the board, I still think he has a ton of potential, his play this summer was eye popping. I think he’s had a tough year in skelleftea, really hope he’s just been in his head and takes away a lot from this year rather than only negative.

The wings are in desperate need of a player who’s heavy on the forecheck. Too many cinderellas on the team…I don't even think it's really on MBN. Skelleftea just didn't know how to use him. He admittedly had a rough year this year, but in his draft year he outscored Dvorsky in the Allsvenskan. Skelleftea was a mess and he played the last half of the year on the 4th line and got no PP time. This guy looks like a penalty killer that scores 10 goals a year. I hope I'm wrong. But this feels like a Veleno, Ras ceiling. I would package him at the draft to move up if we have someone we are targeting or a young roster player from another team.
MBN is a much, much different type of player than a Ras or Veleno. Both of which came out of junior hockey playing styles of games that needed a lot more time refining than they were really givenThis guy looks like a penalty killer that scores 10 goals a year. That’s my issue with this season’s team. They’re way too easy to play against. It would be nice to have some bigger dudes in the bottom lines that’ll throw their weight around. I’m one of the few Brady Cleveland (prime Derian Hatcher loading) truthers here lol.The wings are in desperate need of a player who’s heavy on the forecheck. Too many cinderellas on the team…
I hope you're right. And I didn't mean playing style comparisons with Veleno and Ras I mean ceiling and production. Like I said, I hope he is a star but I don't have much faith.MBN is a much, much different type of player than a Ras or Veleno. MBN is a complete wrecking ball, which is something we don't have on our team. Yet he's also extremely cerebral. He finds soft pockets around the the ice and of course has an borderline elite release. Operates in tight space really well, something that small players in CHL juniors struggle with when hitting the pros
If he works hard on his skating over the summer, particularly being more agile away from the boards, as well as his playmaking, I think he's got a lot more scoring potential than some are giving credit
